Waldron could have helped correct the flaws with Justin Fields while either CW or JD sat on the bench like Patrick Mahomes did under Andy Reid. Bears GM Poles didn't learn how to handle QBs in KC. Its painful to see another Bears GM make Bear GM mistakes. I thought Poles was different but starting to sour on his handling of these QBs. Throwing another Bears rookie QB into the fire again ! Poles should have waited until the season was under way then " Do right by Justin " would have put him in another starting QB position when injuries happen during the season. JFs value would mean much more at that time.

Well in their Bowl game against # 16 Louisville the 2nd string USC QB Miller Moss threw for over 350 yards plus 6 TD's setting a Holiday Bowl record ! USC won 42-28 ! Was the defense so bad that Moss couldn't overcome it ?

Poles future rests on what he does here. Not smart to let Justin Fields go for a 6th round pick ! Mahomes sat for 1 year under Alex Smith. Jordan Love sat for 3 years under Aaron Rodgers. Didn't Poles learn a thing from being with the Chiefs ? Reid handled the QB situation differently this is why Bears QBs don't have success. Immediately put into the fire combined with a BAD OC / QB coach. Ironically CW after his Pro day said " I have nothing to learn ". CW finds a way to make me not like him. The rest of his interview was fine.

If you start this player right away, or even one or two games into the season, he’s probably not going to have time for anything but trial by fire. Putting him behind this past year’s Bears’ offensive line would likely result in Justin Fields 2.0. I would feel bad for these kids, if they weren’t making a small fortune for playing a game. Having spent 15 years leading Marines, I am also skeptical of any “grown ass man” who breaks down in public the way he did. That would have resulted in a one way trip home from OCS.

It's hard to concentrate on his analysis. I know that his work is not based on politics, but I have to deal with the unintended consequences which makes the consumption of his fantastic content less palpable . Cheers.
