footwork was inconsistent, but Jacksonville's winning at the line did affect him. He was still terrific tho.

Not CJ’s best game but still close at the end. Those two sacks at the end were huge.

Even really good vet QBs lose some composure under as much pressure as CJ was under all game. Glad to see he was able to protect the ball through all that. He sure doesn’t play like a rookie!

He was under a lot more pressure this time than usual. I think some of his hesitations and misreads were from a little bit of panic. This is the most rookie he has looked in a long time. Still threw for 300+ yards, though. XD

Yes. They break down film all the time. You can see them doing it during the game, even. When the cameras show the QB with a pad on the sideline after a drive, they’re often looking at one or more of the plays they just did.

I noticed the weird drop back too. I think the pressure from the Jags front was getting to him. Goes back to his college days where he would get weird and erratic footwork when he was under constant pressure.

Dumb/naive question but do teams have people like you do this for every position group? Like does CJ get the Texans version of you sending him film break downs? Would it be backup QBs? QB coaches?

one of the worst officiating games I’ve ever seen and Cj still played great. i’ve never seen a rookie with such great footwork.
