When the first snap brings a “Jesus Christ” you know it’s going to be a great breakdown

I wonder how committed the FO is to Fields. I get why they ate money this year and the roster churn idea to see what sticks. But, in game, why are they running just one portion of offense that he is good at? It's like they forgot about all those deep crosses, digs, seams, etc, in the 12-20 yard range that he lived on at Ohio State. Did they run even one medium-deep comeback route to the naked side? It's like they decided to win more often conservatively than to let Fields develop and throw and possibly lose more. Maybe it evens out after 6-8 games, but it's confusing to see them seemingly contradict the FO plans. Gotta see what you have.

JT, Fantastic stuff as usual. I was telling the wife tonight that I can't believe how much I have learned about the game I love from YOU! As a Bears fan (Season Ticket Holder) I found myself watching the game on the DVR last night, wondering what JF was looking at, why he doesn't turn it loose when multiple rec are open. Your answer, it takes time but he needs to be better. You talked me off the ledge at least for now. I also questioned scheme during the game, but you helped clarify that too. Thank you for the 1 minute summary at the end as I asked for last week. It wraps things up nicely.

May we get a Hendon Hooker Vs UF this week? I personally feel he is playing at a high level right now.

Thank you for this! Obviously this isn’t a great individual game for Fields but again to your point there are structural issues to the offense and pass pro as well. Honestly watching you review the all 22 film makes me feel somehow better about the performance because in game without the benefit or seeing the replays multiple times it looked horrible.
Among Bears fans it seems like this was the end of the “honeymoon phase” for Fields and people are starting to have legitimate concerns, but how are you feeling based on his pro body of work so far? Fields still hasn’t played a whole season’s worth of NFL games and it’s a brand new offense so to me, patience is still key. It’s just wild to see what looks like regression for Fields after surviving Matt Nagy last year.
