QBS Special Edition - Draft Analysis: Tua Tagovailoa Round 2

Comments

A little context From 35 minutes to 38 minutes where tua overthrew 11 2x Henry ruggs who ran 4.27 at the combine was just back in from a injury to the lower part of his body I can't remember if it was a leg or foot or ankle injury but I think tua was anticipating him running his normal speed and he was a bit slower I'm not sure if that's why he overthrew him but i think it could've definitely affected tua

Watching this makes me think he'd be an MVP in Kyle Shanahan's offense. I would love if we do something crazy and trade for him.

Salman Saleh

Thanks. I love Tua, too. Interesting to see what the Raiders do.

Great stuff as always JT! I’m a Raider Fan and hope they trade up their 1sts for Tua. I think both Burrow and Tua have generational type talent. Also wouldn’t mind Love at 12, but he’s your classic total boom or total bust type pick.

Alex Shepherd

Appreciate it, Joe. Thanks again for the support.

The QB School

Me too, he's definitely the #2 in the draft.

Michael Lyon

Amazing site J.T. simply amazing. Learning so much

Thanks for the Personnel vid - very good!

Joe Holt

the misses were surprising. i still really like him.

The QB School

It hurts seeing him hit all these big posts, throwing to his left, then missing the wide open shots to his right.

Michael Lyon

The 2x2 or 3x1 stuff refers to offensive formations and the number of eligible players at the LOS in each formation.

Question: I heard you mention during a play "2 by 2, 12 personnel, shift to open"; I am trying to learn the terminology - 2 by 2 represents the corners/safety positions; 12 personnel - what is that? Is shift to open the shift to open the position shift of the TE (about 4:06 in the Tua Tagovailoa Round 2 video)? Thanks in advance. Sorry if I'm ignorant - which I am!

Joe Holt

3rd is usually a great development pick. 1st and 2nd are usually expected to start asap.

The QB School

Thank you so much for the video's I love them and all the teaching you provide! I'm so glad I joined your group and proud to be a patreon. Question: I happen to really enjoy watching Anthony Gordon - but notice he's not really on the radar in drafts until late (3rd to 5th rounds depending on draft boards): am I crazy to think he's worth an earlier draft as a great developmental future starter?
