Update - Iku and whipped cream

tl;dr - I've been working on the PAL commissions and some little bonuses, fighting off writer's block and doing just a little bit for PAT.

This week's image

Iku is about to receive... a cupkkake! I had to get a set of grocery item props just so I'd have a whipped cream can for this picture. :) This is for a new scene coming in the next version of PAL. I couldn't show stuff from any of the patron commissions I'm working on at the moment for various reasons, but there's a bunch of other little features coming too, this being one.

Actually, I wasn't really sure if maybe I could use this image for a public post; technically it's not lewd, but there's implied lewdity, so I don't know. I decided I'd better play it safe.

PAL content

I've been pushing through modest writer's block to try and get the commissioned scenes finished up this week. One of the main things I've done is just work out, planning wise, what will actually happen. That way when I sit down to write something I can just look at my instructions for what should happen in the next bit and fill in the blanks. Writing commissions is hard!

Well, to be precise, it's not necessarily all that hard, but I always find it challenging to write long, non-interactive scenes that are outside the flow of the game. Anything that's like, say, an extra command in a few places within the game I tend to be able to do easily, if it's not out of character for the characters. Longer, short story type stuff, though, tends to be very challenging to get finished.

Oh, and I wrote another little extra this week that I haven't mentioned yet; it's an extension to Iku's first blowjob wake up scene. At this point there's actually a whole bunch of little extras coming in the next update in addition to the three big patron commissions, which is good because as I think I've mentioned, this next release will be the beta, which will be more or less feature-complete, so adding in some extra bonuses before the 2.0 version seems like a good thing to me.

PAT images

I've continued to work on PAT images (and a tiny bit of writing) so I think that when I'm past the next PAL update I should be able to start pulling together the first PAT demo reasonably quickly. Hopefully things will come together fast, because I will likely need to get some real progress done on that before I feel good about putting out a demo for it. Right now it seems like it probably won't have any voice acting in the first release, but I'd like that to be in the first version to create an accurate first impression, so we'll see.

I actually made a simple animation this week for PAT, but there's no way I can render it with my current hardware, so I've just made a little sample image of it to remind me about it and I'm setting it aside for when I get a more powerful rendering system.
