Update - 24 October 2016

tl;dr - I've released PAL v0.13.1! I've also started work on the victory suite and got some new 3D assets.

Hello, my much loved and appreciated patrons! This week I got quite a bit of a boost, I think because of the public update I posted, so I'm obviously happy about that.

This pic is already in the latest alpha, but I figured a fair number of people wouldn't have seen it. If you're wondering how this scene comes about it's a fantasy scene and all those guys are Kenji. There are some follow-up stages to this image, of course, in which Kimiko gets decidedly... messier. :)

Release of PAL 0.13.1

(BTW, if you're a new patron and went from the link on the 'thank you' message after you pledged I only updated that yesterday, so make sure you've got the latest one.)

It's got a whole bunch of new content in it, but most importantly the endings. From the feedback I've received (which is limited, but what I've got is great) I think you guys have been liking the endings. That's great, especially because I really wasn't too sure about whether those would work out. I did work hard on them, but I have to say, I know it's a slight spoiler, but you haven't seen the end of the game until you've seen the harem ending. You'll see what I mean when you play it.

Sorry about the bugs in version 0.13.0, that's just a natural function of releasing alphas. I'll test them myself but I can't do comprehensive tests so I don't tend to even try. I just see if everything seems to be working, try to brainstorm what could go wrong and then put it out. Unfortunately that means bugs, but hell, fixing that's what beta testing is for.

Internet troubles

This week my ISP was really stupid and cancelled my Internet connection because they got confused about my bills and thought I wasn't paying them. I called and sorted it out (several times) but they forgot to fix the problem (several times), so I wound up cut off for more than two whole days. I did get some work done but it was pretty annoying, and I'm sorry if I was slow to respond.

Programming the harem victory suite

My primary goal, now that version 0.13.1 is out, is to construct the harem victory suite. I think maybe it's not clear sometimes what I'm talking about when I refer to the 'victory suite', but basically it's a post-game area where you get some extra content and some replay options.

This week I created the sex scene replays. I've never had this feature before because an interactive sex scene is a little more complicated to replay than a linear one (like you'd see in a hentai visual novel or something). After a bit of mucking about and testing I think I've got it working, however. I mostly included this idea because it was a popular feature when I proposed it - I hope there are enough players who get all the way to the end to really appreciate it!

Incidentally, everyone should thank truemechasonic who did some really good, unsolicited beta testing and dug up a bunch of voice and image files that were supposed to be in the game but weren't appearing (due to my mistakes). Those are fixed now, for version 0.14.0!

Got a bunch of new 3D assets

Daz3D has a sale on right now so I've been picking up a lot of little assets. I'm trying to pick up stuff that will help my upcoming projects and thanks to that I've been doing some test renders for my next big project (a sneak peek of which is in PAL's endings). I'm really happy with those results; I think you'll be impressed when I start to show off the HD renders of the new characters. I'm looking forward to revealing that stuff, I'm quite proud of it.
