Discord Rules Update
Added 2017-04-08 02:08:50 +0000 UTCThere are now rules pinned in the #general textchat for Discord and a textchat titled after the rules so everyone can see them. It's mainly common sense stuff, but there's one major thing you'll notice:
NO MINORS
If you're under the age of 18, you are not allowed into the Discord server.
The Discord server is a space for legal adults.
Why is this?
Because even though I deeply appreciate all my viewers and supporters regardless of age and the majority of my YouTube content (and by extension, Patreon content) is suitable for those ages 13 and up, I am not responsible for the posts made by those I cannot regulate 24/7 in a 24/7 chat server.
The majority of Night Mind Patreon supporters are legal adults, as was always intended. Majority rules in community domains.
Neither I, nor my mod, will ever be held accountable or responsible for a minor seeing, reading, or looking up something related to anything that comes from what has been dictated as an adults-only space.
And because I can't actually regulate age restrictions through Patreon or Discord, really, laying down these rules is all I can do.
If you are a minor, you can continue to be a patron. But don't go into the Discord, I will not allow it.
If I or my mod find out you're a minor in the Discord, you get banned from the Discord. No exceptions.
I will not ever, ever, ever tolerate being contacted by some kid's mother or father yelling at me because their kid didn't follow rules I laid out for an adult-only space.
And that's pretty much it. Also, the new video for this week is late due to a massive unforeseen twistup in the channel I was going to cover on Wednesday night, which meant I had to switch gears very quickly.
