2023-04-03 15:08:55 +0000 UTCfor the creation of a scene it is important to have above all a good composition, it is the base. If your composition isn't solid, the rest won't be either. It would be like building a house on a bad foundation.

2023-04-03 14:29:17 +0000 UTCI started traditional painting after digital painting, so I think it is not necessary to know how to do traditional to acquire a satisfactory level in digital. The advantage of digital is that it leaves you the right to make mistakes, it allows you not to feel pressure at the process level, it is therefore a very comfortable way of learning which will then give you certain bases and more confidence to start traditional painting :)

I meant to ask whether you work with oil painting too, and it sounds like you indeed do both :) For someone who's learning, how important do you think it is to have experience with actual traditional painting when trying to create work in the painted-fantasy-realism style through digital painting? I'm trying to learn, but don't have a work environment for traditional painting at the moment. And I was wondering if you have any advice about building up the scene and creating depth.
