2024-04-14 20:58:28 +0000 UTCTo answer your question about why August is even there when Wille is despite the fact that he's just a back-up for Wille, one of the things the Queen says (I think in the previous episode) is that, if he WERE to have to someday take over for Wille, it'd be better to start having the public become more familiar and comfortable with him as a member of the royal family now, so the transition would be smoother. So I think the implication was that, not only would August step up if Wille couldn't do it, but he'd probably be more present/active in royal activities REGARDLESS. Even if he never actually took over for Wille, the fact that he was the back-up meant that he'd be a much more active figure, just so that he's there, ready, and public-approved if the need arose. (Which, honestly, makes the situation all the worse. One way or another, Wille would have to deal with a lot more August.) God, so insanely excited for season 3. I got my mother to watch the show with me, and then we both recommended it to my grandmother, and now all three of us are huge fans. It's actually coming out on my grandmother's birthday, so we're all going to spend the day at my grandmother's place and watch it together with cake and ice cream!! <3

I also want to point out that the hug between the Queen/Duke and Wille when they arrive for the jubilee is the very FIRST time we see them offer him ANY comforting gesture (hug) in the entire show. I donโt think the Duke touches Wille at all until that hug, and the only time the Queen touches him before the hug is in the 1st Season with a grasp to the chin to see bruises, a slap to get him to stop biting his nails, and perhaps a pat on the knee and/or back when the video goes viral. Idk what to expect tomorrow, but speaking as a fellow touch-starved human, I hope Wille and Simon are HEA ๐๐

Wille spitting on August is of course the answer as to why the hazing scene in season 1 was so gross, Wille is spitting out all the crap that August has make him swallow for two semesters. No matter how many times I have seen these series they still make me tear up like you Jackie.

2024-03-10 16:08:29 +0000 UTCOne thing that was going through my head during this episode is the fact that everybody is the hero of his or her own story, and practically no one besides, Iago, thinks of themselves as a villain. Certainly Sara thinks sheโs doing the right thing by telling August, and, in her mind, urging him to come clean about what heโs done, even though we clearly see itโs a huge mistake. And it makes me wonder if August really believes that all of the things heโs doing are right because heโs protecting the royal family. It certainly is about protecting himself, but I think itโs possible he has convinced himself that he is performing a selfless act instead of the selfish act it truly is.

I would like to watch them all tomorrow, like I did with Heartstopper, but I donยดt think itยดs possible. I hope I will survive this... ;) Happy Sunday to all of you !!!

2024-03-10 11:35:57 +0000 UTCNow, I havenโt rewatched S2 with you, mainly so I didnโt have to sit through the whole Markus thing again but I had to watch this episode which was just as stunning as I remember it to be. I canโt believe I have to work tmrw and wonโt be home until after 4pm but I donโt know about this next series, am I emotionally ready for it if it does go the way we all want or even worse if it doesnโt. Only time will tell and I know that we will all go through it together โค๏ธ

2024-03-10 09:01:44 +0000 UTCIโm pretty certain that weโre going to find ourselves at the point just after Willeโs given the speech, in the first moments of season 3, because in the trailer it looks as if he and Simon are facing each other, still in school uniform in the same setting. Lots of aspects of this episode stand out, for all sorts of reasons, but I think for me, the scene in the hallway when Simon tells Wille that he loves him, the shot of their fingers touching and then the moment when Wille turns to look back at Simon after announcing that it was him in the video and their eyes meet will live in my heart for a long time. โค๏ธ๐โค๏ธ

The shock and the disappointment you can see in Simons eyes when he learns that his own sister betrayed him and later on how he refuses Willeโs hug breaks me every timeโฆ And the โI love youโ scene ๐ญ I hope they will say it to each other in S3 again but this time at the same time โฅ๏ธ
