Really glad I get to watch this with you, Jackie. I was burned by the other remakes, so I didn’t give Druck a chance, but thanks to you I’m happy I did. I love the sweetness, the characters, the relationships, the music, all of it. Can’t wait for the next video.

2023-09-18 04:31:31 +0000 UTCI really enjoy Druck. I can't say the same about SKAM OG. Maybe because of an obvious reason that I can tell at this point to avoid spoilers. But, for me Druck feels almost like a completely different show even though there are, of course, similarities.

2023-09-17 14:46:17 +0000 UTCAbout the Rolladen aka beef rolls: It is a quite popular German dish which is not that easy to make actually. People here commonly eat them on special occasions. It’s basically a slice of beef wich is filled with bacon, pickles, mustard and all kinds of seasoning. Then it’s being rolled up and baked in the Ofen till it’s tender. Usually you eat it with potatoes and red cabbage or Brussels sprouts. And considering Linn not being the best cook, it was kind of a big deal that she managed to cook them 😂

2023-09-16 17:44:32 +0000 UTCYou are correct that there are things that are flipped in this version, such as Matteo being the one with the girlfriend. The differences and similarities will become even more pronounced as things go along. I still get more of a documentary feel with this version, as with the original, though the look of it is decidedly different. (In my opinion, the French version goes too far in making it seem more like a movie, though it does have some lovely cinematography.) Of course, the weed smoking was in the original, too, but as in the original, everything that’s there is there for a reason. And I think the thing about the beef rolls is that it’s a major event when Linn actually cooks something (or actively does anything, for that matter).
