Netflix just shared a wonderful gift (containing a spoiler if you haven't watched all of season 2) https://twitter.com/NetflixNordic/status/1603027029879795714?s=20&t=KxHJFrkN45r8S8oNNBRDAA

He speaks English with a Swedish accent. The Swedish/English accent is so very pleasant. There is no Z or 'Z' sound in Swedish (except for foreign words) so an English word such as prize comes out more like price when spoken by a native Swedish speaker.

Dennis Verner

Yes, please, hoping someone is able to do that šŸ¤žšŸ¤žšŸ¤ž Can’t wait to see it when I get home.

Graham & Ruth May

I'm from the middle United States, and if I didn't know Edvin was Swedish, I would swear he was American. It's really amazing.

jennifer

Does Edvin speak English with a slight American or Canadian accent?

Michael

Someone will need to upload it to YouTube so we can see it as well

Audrey Gunn

I just saw this. It's a wonderful opportunity for them. It's annoying for me as I've just landed back in the UK today after being in NYC for the past 9 nights.

Jayne Riley

OMFG I just saw Edvin share a tweet on his insta stories from the Jimmy Fallon show twitter account saying someone would be making their Late Night Show debut next Thursday with the Crown emoji!! I'm soooo flipping excited haha, it's so cool for our boys that they get to do such a big international interview which will be viewed by hundred's of thousands of people, if not more!

Megan Brady

Omg its confirmed! Edvin and Omar will be on Jimmy Fallon next week. Soooo excited for them!!!

Hanna

I highly recommend these interviews from the Reign With Josh Smith Podcast but wait until you’ve seen all of S2 cause there are spoilers!! https://youtu.be/9jmGmURP2oU https://youtu.be/BQSOIHP7qy8

JLouise

You mat be right. When I lived in France it was nearly impossible to see films in their original version, or with sub-titles. They were always dubbed.

Douglas Rayner

Yes lets hope its true!šŸ¤žšŸ½Either way season 3 announcement should come soon.

Hanna

Agreed, but I think the main reason is tv-shows or movies are never dubbed in Sweden, witch leads to a lot of subconscious learning from a very young age and a wider vocabulary.. also english is mandatory in school from age 5-6..

annanas

My go-to drink is a class of Jacob's Moscato! It's just suburb in my opinion haha Also it's from Australia, like myself

Megan Brady

Omg that would be so soooo cool!! Maybe they'll get to make the Season 3 announcement there?! We can only hope, that would be so so cool. I wouldn't be surprised if that's part of the reason for their visit, even if they do it over Zoom & not in person in the US because it's been over a month now that the 2nd season has been out, so don't think it would make sense for it to be only for S2 press. The pair might also talk about their new upcoming movies they've both recently wrapped coming out next year perhaps. Oooh exciting news, I really hope it's true!

Megan Brady

I would say most swedes in the younger generations speaks fairly good english but edvins level stands out to me. Makes me wonder if he got some extra training/lessons this past year (preparing him for international jobs) since he seems to have improved so much! Its so fun to watch these reactions! Btw what do you guys make of this info on Edvin/Omar doing Jimmy Fallon show? https://www.iltalehti.fi/telkku/ohjelmat/tonight-show-starring-jimmy-fallon/510647/cnbc/13180130? Not yet confirmed but if its true that would be a huge possibility for the show to reach a bigger crowd.

Hanna

I lived in France for many years where English was not widely spoken outside of tourist areas. But everyone I met or worked with from The Netherlands of the Scandinavian countries spoke perfect English. I think the fact that their native languages are not spoken widely outside their country, and the fact that many of the text books they used in schools were in English, had a lot to do with it. I'm a wine person (living in France for so many years partially responsible). A New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc before dinner, and a California red with dinner, religiously, every night. Mark doesn't drink at all, but he married my anyway ;-)

Douglas Rayner

I love these interview videos, they always give such insightful answers to the questions asked. As for the drink, I too like a G&T, am willing to give different ones a try, also like a Margarita and not averse to the odd pint of beer either šŸ˜‚

Audrey Gunn

Edvin's command of the English language is very impressive for someone so young, so much so that he could easily teach the English Language in schools.

Michael

Watching this in a hotel in Egypt on a week’s holiday and the wi-fi is shockingly bad! Only available in indoor public areas and only if the wind is in the right directionā€¦šŸ˜‚šŸ™„ But mine’s a whiskey with ginger ale and lots of ice, or a gin and tonic with ice and a slice, but it has to be Gordon’s gin or a dry gin at least. I love just listening to these guys and I am always impressed by how thoughtful and insightful they are. Considering that Omar had to learn Swedish from scratch when he and his mother moved from Venezuela and now is pretty fluent in English, I think he’s amazing. Edvin is very emotionally mature, considering how young he still is and is clearly going places in his career. Just love them both to bits. ā¤ļøšŸ«

Graham & Ruth May

And I’m so sorry that I completely forgot that there was a moment where they were talking about episode 6, which you haven’t watched yet! My apologies. I hope you don’t feel too spoiled!!! šŸ™ˆšŸ™ˆšŸ™ˆ

Frances

Thank you so much for picking my video suggestion first 🄰

Frances

They are adorable and very smart. And yes... In some of these interviews about season 2... There might be little spoilers... But they try hard to not give any to us. =)

Ingrid Machado Pena

I have seen both of them do enough interviews in English that I’m used to the way they sound speaking English now, and I am impressed with how fluent both of them are in a language that is not their native language – I don’t think I would ever be that fluent in another language, no matter how much I studied it. And yes, I think the way they pronounce Simon has as much to do with the language they are speaking as anything. both of them are very insightful about their characters, and they’re both quite likable as themselves, which makes interviews with them delightful. As for the drinks, it’s been years since I’ve had a gin and tonic, but as I remember I like them as long as I can squeeze a slice of lime into them. My drink of choice would either be a margarita rocks or a glass of riesling.

Lane Wright

Will look more out and send them to you xx
