Tower construction, part 1 - 2023

This time I'm tackling one of the older buildings, a tower standing on a hill in the main village. It has stood there for 20 years and has come to the end of it's road. It's been closed off from players for over a year now, due to the rotten boards and wobbly frame. Time to sort it out.
Before construction, there's always the teardown phase. I decided I would salvage whatever materials from the tower I could, as parts of the frame were surprisingly still in okay condition. As usual I tore down all of the cladding, denailed the pieces and sorted them in two piles; Garbage wood and reusable. Nails and metal bits are collected for taking to recycling later, as well as any trash found in the ruins removed.
I've had a rough time with the weather recently, with first the scorching heat of the summer and now a rainy season hitting my limited free days. So far I've managed to strip the tower bare, straighten it with strings, and reinforce the main frame with massive 2x6 spruce framing. This will support the weight of the tower and give a super solid base going forward.

Since the original second floor of the tower was low, going under it meant either bowing down or hitting your head on the roof/floor. I'm planning to raise the tower floor higher, so you can walk freely under it. I will also expand the base of the tower, so it forms a space that can be used for other things than just climbing the stairs. Speaking of the stairs, they are going to be completely redone as well..
