Supporter Newsletter - September

Hello to all of our beautiful Supporters! Happy September everyone! I hope you all had a great month of August and are ready for the Fall Season to begin this month. Last month felt a bit crazy for me with catching COVID and getting so behind on my work. It made life hard for a short time. Now I'm back and things are going a lot better.

Over the past few months we have brought on some new faces to our Moderator Team. For those of you that haven't noticed, we've recently had some changes with other Mods that allowed new Mods to join the team. We have welcomed PJ, Callum, DirtyJ, and PluckyTree over the recent months and they are a joy to have. All ofthe extra hands helps us to balance the workload across the team so that Requiem can push further into the unknown! (Did anyone else start singing?)

I will go ahead and jump into our expenses for last month. Please note that all of these expenses do not include any extra revenue Requiem did not spend. A majority of the money spent for June has gone towards Staff Benefits (%42) which includes staff payments, team giveaways, officer of the month, sot officer plunder passes, etc. Our monthly normal savings (%20) go towards our charity events and taxes at the end of the year. An additional expense that we always have is our Server Hosting/Design Work (%16) which goes towards our VPS, Dedicated Machine Hosting, Graphic Design, Video Editing, etc. Our last monthly expense is our Giveaways (22%) which goes to exactly what you'd think.

I'm trying to think of new ways we can share the expenses for each month to make it easier for all of you. Right now each month I just go through everything we've spent money on and take those totals added together as a percentage to the overall amount spent. Let me know what you think about our expenses shown each month. Do you care that we show you the percentages on what we spent the money on? Would you like it to be a bit better to read? Leave a comment below and I can see what kind of changes can be made.

Hello Supporters. Welcome to another great month here at Requiem! Thank you all for your support! We couldn’t do all that we do without you! I’ve been here in the background as always. Working things here and there a legal document here, merch stuff there. I made a few videos that are on our tik tok. Ships flying, ghost and a Skelly dancing. Fun stuff. I have also been beta testing our FiveM server. It’s looking really really good. That’s all I’ve been up to besides the boring admin stuff. Have a great time here at Requiem!

Happy September!

This year has been going by so fast and the growth in Requiem has been insane in 2021. Over the past month I have continued working on our merch shop as well as my normal Community Lead duties. Including things like bringing on some new faces to our Moderator team, handling ban appeals and giving away free stuff to all of our awesome members. Throughout September, I will continue working on the same stuff until the merch shop is launched. As always, DM me if you need anything or have any community related questions and I’ll see you around.

Moderator - PJ

Hello, Super Serious PJ has entered the newsletter!
This month has flown by but a lot of work was completed by the development team.  Having said that there is a lot of work to be done to finish our projects.  Even with the long list of ToDos don’t be shy!  You can reach out to me in DMs, my private channel, or in any of our common text channels.  Given that yall make our jobs possible I want to hear yall’s ideas and try to make them come true.

Our development team has “grown” a little as we are now are collaborating with the 5M and Minecraft teams.  The ability to collaborate is exciting and as I help these teams I learn more about our community.  More good news the Golden Hour Bot will begin testing this month and hopefully will be approved so keep an eye for that.  Eventually there will be tons of bots running around to make all your lives fun and easy.  So exciting to have this much activity on lots of projects.

Even with all this progress and growth there is more work to be done.  New work means more developers and designers are needed.  Don’t be afraid to dip your toes into the wonderful world of software development!  Here is the link to apply, https://www.officialrequiem.com/dev-team.  Every skill level is welcome to apply.

Looking forward to the next month of fun!

PJ.

Hello, there It's Yassinator, back again with the most exciting part of the newsletter. The General Mod Report!

Things are going smoothly with both my projects and the upkeep of the community. That being said I would highly recommend enabling 2 Factor authentication on your Discord account and never click on any links that you may receive in DMs. Those links can lead to scams and the potential loss of your account. If you ever receive any links or other prohibited content please report to a Moderator.

I would also like to thank all of you for supporting our community, This could've never been possible without you guys.

Moderator - Jeefer

Hey guys, Jeefer here

This last month was a very busy one for me at Requiem, I first started the month with a quick vacation (which was amazing) and then came back refreshed and excited as ever. This month I moved from my old position as Community Outreach to my new Mod position as SoT Lead. before the switch however, I spent plenty of time helping Callum adjust to his new role as Community Outreach and I know you are all in great hands as he will do an amazing job in the role. For SoT we have been busy as ever we had an amazing gold and glory weekend which was only possible due to our amazing SoT officer's, I also spent plenty of time bringing on some new officer's who I know are going to be amazing and help out the team.

As always thank you so much for supporting and if you are interested in helping out with SoT feel free to submit an application

Moderator - Callum

Hey guys it’s Callum a current trial moderator here. For the last couple weeks I have been training to become your new community outreach meaning I will be getting your voices heard and allowing your guys’ suggestions to be implemented as soon as possible.

Over the past month I have been working hard to make sure all your tickets and questions are being answered in the most efficient way possible and I have been making sure that your guys suggestions are also being heard by all of us over here on modside. As the new support lead I have also been settling in and making sure that everything is well with the team and making sure we’re all as happy as can be while also picking up tips and tricks from Jeefer.

If you guys are interested in helping out at all with support team feel free to shoot me a DM or open an application.

You guys are amazing and we truly wouldn’t be where we are without you guys as an amazing community so I would like to thank you all.

Moderator - JunkyWRX

Hey y'all! Junky back again with some amazing news about our FiveM server! Over the last month we've gained a few extra developers onto our FiveM Team that has really helped get things pushed along. Currently we have our pre-launch version of the server set up on a testing server and we are vigorously testing everyday. Once this testing phase which we call a "Code Freeze" is over we'll be evaluating what a launch day looks like! I'm so excited for all of you to experience what we've been working on! See you in the streets of Los Santos ya filthy grinders!

Moderator - Roesch21

Howdy Supporters!
I'm Roesch21 the Recruitment Lead here at Requiem. This last month has been business as usual for me and the team. We're still constantly searching for new ideas to bring people into this wonderful community. Thank you all for the support and don't forget to invite all your friends! It's word of mouth from our members like you that keeps this community growing everyday.

Moderator - Judgementreeper

Judge here,

Over the past month I have been helping PluckyTree transition into our new Event Lead. I have no doubt he will exceed expectations and lead the team in a new and exciting direction. He has been working hard behind the scenes on some major upcoming events, as well as taking over most of the day to day operations.

Moderator - Dash

Hello everyone! It's Dash here, with some exciting news. PJ has fully stepped into the development lead position, thus allowing me to transfer into a security and IT operations role, which is both my background and what I currently do for work.

I'm super excited to see PJ grow the dev team and even in the short amount of time he's been in the position, I feel he's accomplished a lot.

With my new role, I'll be focusing on maintaining, securing and pentesting our bots, networks and servers. This includes working closely with the development team for bot deployments, security posture and general assistance.
