Strangers on Paper - DevLog #18

Did you know you can now add Strangers on Paper to your Steam Wishlist? Go!

It’s been a running joke between Grogu and I that we usually take turns in terms of wellbeing: I’ll get sick and step back from GGS for a bit while Grogu works some of his visual magic, and by the time I come back he’ll fall sick while I’ll continue to write up the next big thing. Just like with the time difference, it’s been one of those things that help us “keep the GG machine always going”.

But we knew this day would come. It’s been over a week since we both fell ill with completely different bugs, yet they equally prevented us from getting any work related to SOP done. Without getting into too much detail, we’re mostly okay now, though I will share that apparently having your head hanging back while at the dentist’s chair for a long while can result in some pretty bad vertigo consequences - the first three doctors who saw me had no clue of this, so I’ll share it in hopes it is useful for someone else one day because, damn, I wouldn’t wish that on anyone. Moving on.

Since not much progress was achieved this week, we’ve been debating over what we’d like to share this time, and we thought we could introduce you to some new (ish) characters from Chapter 2. You may theorize about them but, if you know us, by now you’ll know we won’t be giving much away about them. We’ll give you names though.

Julie (the “ish” in “new”)

Eris (aka Grogu’s current crush)

Rose (the “m” without the “ilf”, please)

We will now proceed to catch up on all other aspects of SOP, including the whole “note to Tony” thing that’ll be available for all patrons to take part in from tomorrow.

As always, thank you for your love and support.

Thank you so much, that means a lot to us! Happy to have you here.

Man, I just found this game today, and wanted to proclaim: holy shit. There were not many games that hooked me in this much under one chapter, maybe only Eternum. Keep up the good work!♥

Haha they do! I’ll explain this as best as I can. My dentist was sitting throughout the whole procedure (I was getting an implant, it took around 25min) and because he was sitting, he had my chair in not only a horizontal position, but also slightly tilted back. Not great, but from what I’ve read, the vertigo aftermath is something that can happen to like 1% of people. I guess I’m part of the unlucky bunch there.

..so either I'm imagining it very wrong in my head or go to a strange dentist. Don't they have a chair with a headrest or something? :D Anyway, I hope you're feeling better. Nice sneak peeks! Looking forward to try out the next chapter, cheers & thanks for the update!
