This week, we got to test an updated version of the scenes that introduce the characters in Chapter 1.
And wow.
One of my favorite parts of this whole process is the moment I get to see the renders. For the most part of my life, I'd always dreamed of writing books. It was only in recent years that I started considering writing video games and then last year that a more concrete opportunity showed up here.
There's something inherently satisfying about watching scenes that have been living rent-free in your mind come to life before your eyes. I guess this is what filmmakers feel like? Especially when you're working with someone insanely talented who can make these images look badass - no, grogu, I won’t edit that one out, freedom of speech, etc.
Then there's that other feeling - when you're testing out the menu and you click something and it changes colors and it makes a sound and then you realize, DAMN! This is an actual thing, it's a real videogame! We’re creating something and we love it and, right now, it feels like that’s all that matters. You know, before we put it out there and it fails dramatically.
In all seriousness, I hope others get to see the love we put into this game.
