Good morning Patrons!
Check out this piece that should be familiar if you've read Little Guardians Chapter 4 - The Item Shop Exchange Program. Final version can be found here for comparison.
This is what my pencils usually look like. For those that don't know, I usually do a rough sketch or 'Thumbnail', then 'Pencils' which are more refined and act as a guide for the Inks. Then 'Inks' which are even more precise are exactly what I want for the finished piece. Then we move onto color and effects.
I personally think Pencils are the most interesting step because you see a lot more of the creator's thought process. And the Pencils step varies widely from artist to artist. Some artists have Pencils that are so precise they could be used as final art, some artists, like me, are a lot more loosey goosey since, I'm the guy who also has to ink it, I save time by not drawing it perfectly twice. :)
Tuh-dah!
