She imagines herself picking up Ian, and though she could do that now if she had a pill, it would still likely take effort and exertion. Katie could probably lift and hold Ian for an hour, and Valerie looks far off into the night as she wonders what it would be like to grow... and stay bigger. To be absolutely huge, towering over men and women alike.
