We got our giant skeleton put up today, it was a lot easier than the first time we put it up. I need to get a Hogfather hat for him so I can leave him up until my kid comes home for Christmas. We already have a skeletal rat, complete with comedy ear bones. I like the comedy ear bones on the plastic skeletal animals, I think they're very funny.
I wonder if I can find a skeletal turkey to keep him company for Thanksgiving? Maybe a giant knife and fork or a giant plastic drumstick. Some of our neighbors leave theirs up all year and dress them up for every holiday. I'm not up for that, I like the novelty of setting him up for the season, but I think he's going to get a slightly longer play this year.

Ahhhh...and this to me suggests why the attack on Mechanicsburg fizzled out. This makes me think the Polar Lords didn't want the town, which is after all still in a very nice (impenetrable) bubble. Maybe they wanted Agatha, and were counting on her to run to the rescue herself, out from under Albia's protection, rather than trusting Gil to look after her town in her stead.
