I love this page. I love Wednesday's page too. It doesn't happen often, but I love it when we can show a little peek into the parallel Girl Genius comic imagined by delusional in-world characters.
So what's going on around here? Well, I'm in the middle of an interesting time with our business. I have a huge list of things I could do to get our work seen more, but each one involves a learning curve I've never had the spoons to tackle. Lately, for fun, in between packing the last Kickstarter and helping to promote Rain's video game, I've been amusing myself by making a list of those learning curve beasties and putting them in a sort of priority order. This makes them a LOT less intimidating, and I've actually started chipping away at them. It's not like there's a deadline there, they've waited this long, but it feels like completing quests and that's a thing I like.
My latest small triumph is girlgeniusart.com, a SquareSpace page I've been poking at. It's meant to be a place to list our original art, as well as all the little extras I've got lying around the house. Stuff that's too small or short-run to expect TopatoCo to put in the main Girl Genius store that sells our books. There isn't much on girlgeniusart.com right now, but I did make a big push the other night and listed the last of the Tshirts that OffWorld Designs sent us when they went out of business. I've got a whole bunch of Samhain shirts, a couple Krampus shirts (all in size small argh argh argh) and two smalls with a picture of Agatha riding a mechanical horse. I'm going to try to add a couple items every day, but I suspect that won't always happen because there's a lot of other stuff to do. The site isn't perfect but I'm pleased that it exists!
I've also been having a fantastic time streaming. Last night was fun although I think I rambled a bit too much and I forgot to tell people about the Seattle animals I learned about recently, so I'll have to mention it next week. And during the stream I said I'd write about the incredible webcomic Narbonic here, (although I know somebody in chat came through with the proper spelling. I'm still going to mention it here.) Everybody should read Narbonic! It's fantastic, and it's a complete story! And it's SO GOOD! Also Skin Horse, but read Narbonic first, I feel like the one builds on the other.
There. I'm off to get back to work. I want to ship some stuff and design some medals for a quick pins and patches release before it's time to do another book campaign.
Thanks everyone!
