I had the pleasure of having my Mom over to watch the last Downton Abbey movie, which I believe came out not too long ago. She had watched the whole series and kind of knew that another thing was coming out, but didn't know when or how to watch it. It was fun to see the last hurrah of the show, and I got to make my Mom happy.
I had already watched the whole series and enjoyed it. I know if I had lived back then I'd at best have been doing someone's dishes, but I love looking at the clothes and the cars and the architecture from a nice distance in time. Plus Maggie Smith is always a delight, and Susan Sto Helit--I mean, Michelle Dockery--is fun to watch.
That reminds me, I just found the second disc of Hogfather that we've been missing for some time, tucked in with a bunch of Scooby Doo. I think the kids must have helped put thngs away at some point. Now to find the first, and I can re-watch it. Hogfather is one of my favorite Discworld books, although that statement sends me down a rabbit hole of "Oh, except there's that one too, and then that one..." and it never ends.
Anyhow, here are the words.
Thanks everyone!
