Added 2022-11-24 07:37:19 +0000 UTCIt's currently Wednesday night, and I'm uploading early because tomorrow we're doing Thanksgiving and we all got our work done early, huzzah!
I've made two pies and I'm already eating one because I LOVE pumpkin pie and we only need one tomorrow.
The trees drop a lot of leaves onto our front walk, and they can get slippery. I don't want to murder the mail carrier, so I was out today sweeping leaves off the path. The crows hung around watching the whole time. There's a nesting pair that lives in the neighbor's tree and they keep an eye on the house...just in case I decide to go for a walk with dog treats in my pockets. They figured out years ago when I was walking small children to school that I'm a soft touch. They like to swoop close to my ear from behind, then sit in an obvious place ahead of me, waiting. If I don't hand over a treat (because I forgot to bring one, jeez), they'll do it again and again, and yell at me and follow me home and wait until I go inside to get them something.
So that and trying to get an early start on cooking was my day.
