Happy Friday, everyone!
Chapter 28: Back To The City
Once back in the city, the first place Cynthia and the others went to was without a doubt the HQ.
It had been so long since Cynthia departed that Trix had to be dying to see her.
She expected a report and she was going to have it.
After barging at the door of her office, Widdowfield and Quentin explained everything that had happened during the last few days while they were out of town. Amber and Protea were brought along to the office, so they could also give their versions of what happened, bringing more information to this case.
One of the very first things that Cynthia noticed about Trix as they were telling her what happened was that she was interested in protecting Amber and Protea as much as possible. She was surprised by how much she wanted to help Amber, even though she used to be such a tight co-conspirator with Richard.
Amber was being forgiven and helped,
When Amber and Protea were done being interrogated, they were placed in a different room altogether.
“So, you are going to help them?”
“Of course, Widdowfield,” Amber replied to her.
“I was scared you wouldn’t for a second…”
“We have to be extremely careful from now on… Richard is not going to go down that easily…”
Everyone could agree on that.
Then, they needed to think about the best way to move forward. Widdowfield was desperately attempting to think of the best way that they could ensure that Richard was going to stop before he could plot any more murders simply for the sake of growing his business.
“The best course of action has to be for us to take it slowly and to have one of you pretend to still be on his side. We need to spy on him. We record everything he says and as soon as he admits to something incriminating, we could then make a case for it, but in the meantime, I’m afraid that there’s no immediate solution for this,” Trix explained to the group she had in a meeting in the middle of her office.
This was until Cynthia suddenly raised her hand, wishing to be granted the right to speak.
“Widdowfield,” Trix shook her head at Cynthia.
“Thank you, captain. I understand where you’re coming from with what you just said, but I believe I might have thought of a slightly different approach we could try if you don’t mind hearing it.”
“Oh, but please do tell…” Trix said it almost like she was ready for Widdowfield to offer a better idea than hers. She was prepared for this inevitability.
“I believe I do have an idea that could work… I have been thinking about this for quite some time now and while I cannot believe I’m about to say this, I believe the answer to our problems is a lot simpler than one might believe…”
“Widdowfield—Don’t make us beg you for your suggestions, please…” Trix clearly didn’t enjoy the wait and as the head of this organization, she didn’t enjoy when something was taking too long or when someone was not getting to the point and Cynthia was not exactly getting to the point fast enough for her right now…
“So! What I am thinking is that none of us would be a big problem if Richard didn’t have so much power and as we all know, a great deal of his power comes from his strip club, but it wasn’t always that way… The club used to belong to an individual named Joss and perhaps it’s about time that he regained control of his business! Cynthia Widdowfield said something that she never believed she would ever say out loud, but she did it.
The cat was out of the bag.
Cynthia wanted Joss back for some reason.
Everyone stared at her in shock.
No one said anything because everyone was completely and utterly speechless and for good reason. She understood why they were all like this…
“What I’m saying is that with Joss in charge of the club as opposed to Richard, I believe there would be more stability and this madness could finally end…” Cynthia believed in what she was saying entirely.
“So, let me get this straight…” Nene took a step closer toward Cynthia. “... You want to replace a monster with another? Is that right?” she went on to ask her.
“More or less, yes…” Widdowfield admitted.
“This seems dangerous, to say the least…” Protea mentioned.
“Very dangerous, indeed,” Quentin agreed with that sentiment.
“But it might be our best shot. If we could have Joss under our thumb, he could then become a powerful ally,” Amber seemed to be all in on that idea.
“More importantly: How would we go about asking him to help us and how would that even work to begin with, Widdowfield? It’s not like he can do anything to help us. He has no power,” Trix’s concerns were understandable.
“Ma’am, I don’t believe you understand how badly someone such as Joss might want his old business back. He wants his empire back and he’s ready to do anything he can for it,” Widdowfield desperately tried to reason with her and make her understand why she thought this was a good idea.
“I’m not saying your idea isn’t good, Widdowfield—what I’m saying is that it’s a dangerous one. What makes you think you can control him?” Trix sat back down behind her desk and placed her hands together, sporting a more serious and stern posture. Trix’s huge breasts now rested on top of her wooden desk. In all honesty, Cynthia thought that this was a well-deserved rest for her and her big tits because they looked so heavy all the time, but even more so during this important meeting that she noticed this crucial fact.
“He has no other choice. For the valuable opportunity to recover his old life, he’s going to have to listen to me and work with me. Please, trust me, ma’am. I’m not going to fail…” Cynthia begged her to allow her to move forward with this plan.
…
Trix reflected.
She scratched her chin and continued thinking about this for a long time…
