Production Update 5/21/25

Howdy y'all
It's that time again so here's some new art and some new updates for ya! Things have been a bit slower than I'd have hoped but I'm trudging along all the same, and I hope you like what you see!

Art update:
The captain is finalized, with some small changes made to the previous post. Nothing major, just remembered to add her tail back and fixed some clipping issues. The big part of this update would be the UI changes I'm trying to get implimented! I've always kind of hated the floating black box that I've had for so long (along with the bland menus, but thats a problem for another day ugh) so I came up with this! I feel like its elegant and simple enough to not draw the Eye too much, but let me know! The idea is that the projection color changes with who's talking, and the machine itself changes depending on the BG, like the day counter. Really excited about how it's looking, just gotta see how easy it is to impliment!
Finally a new BG wip. I'm faily happy with it, that being said most of my bgs look kinda meh until theyre shaded, so, well have to see! I'm not entierely sure how much art I need for this update? I have at least one CG in mind that I'll get to work on after this, but once that's done I'll either work double time on the writing or maybe add another CG/rework another sprite. TBD for now.

Writing update:
This is where things have maybe been a bit slower. I was stuck on a very annoying part in the script for a bit that I was just dreading to do, so i missed a few days and therfore didn't get as much done as I would've liked. The script is at almost 20k though, and things are going a bit faster now. I think this update should be 30-40k? But, there's no real telling to be honest. It will be as long as it needs to, but I've got what I wanted to write for it planned out at least.

Life update:
Not too much to report. Still dealing with some personal stuff and its been rainy and grey here on Iyeo recently. Looking forward to some warm days and some happy progress. Just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who supports me and stays with me through the slower months. I wouldn't be able to bring this story to you without your support and it's genuinely improved my life, so thank you.
