Production Update 2/21/24

Howdy again y'all! What a month, eh? Phew, well, I got some stuff to show ya and tell ya about so let's get right on to it!

Writing update:
Okay, so I'm at 15k words done so far. "But cyrptid, that's not a ton!" You're right! I've had some serious writers block with this most recent part, and it's been giving me a lot of grief. This old man, no matter how hot he is, is hard to write! Writing plot can be hard and I'm having a difficult time not have it just feel railroady/lore dumpy so I've had to redo it a few times now, buh! I want the update to be about 25k words? But I'd be happy to go over 20k if that gives everything enough time, and it probably will.

Art update:
Tyr's done! I've already implemented him into the game and I think he looks great! He's a bit less old looking (not a good thing just saying) a bit less weathered, but a whole lot, uhhh, bigger o.o I'm happy with how he came out thought! He's supposed to hold himself up and I think he looks super cute hah. Then we have an almost done version of his office! It could use a bit more junk strewn about, but otherwise I think its looking pretty slick! And then we have everyone's best friend!!! since he/it/they/them only has like two sprites I figured I'd get those out of the way as soon as I could. I think they turned out -really- well and I'm super happy with the design update! Just gotta color and shade 'im and I'm all good!

I'm still working on the UI, and I'm not sure anything concrete will be done in time for this update. UI art is hard, hah! Also, worth noting, I updated the font used in game, let me know what you think! I think it's a bit nicer, especially on the names.

Music update:
I'm working on maybe getting one new song for this update, it will probably be a minor piece though, but still, new music is always fun!

Life Update:
Oooh boy, burnout and writers block, huh? It's been a bit harder than I'd like to admit to work on the VN, but when I do I usually enjoy it. I really REALLY want to get this update out next month, but it might be a tight squeeze. All that's left is the writing and a lot of coloring, but I think I can get it done, I'd like to!
There's unfortunately Covid in my house rn, so if i get sick you'll have to excuse a delay
