Production Update 9/21/23

Howdy y'all! I hope you've had a good septemby so far, hope the weather is clearin up and things are getting nicer. I've been busy as a dog but unfortunately not all of that energy has been going to RYT, but I've still got some stuff to shows ya!

Writing update:
The script is going to be long for this new update.
It's already at 37k words (unedited) and I'm 2/3rds done writing Marrowyn's part, so I still have all of Marruk to finish as well. Rhoun ended up being 19k+ words, and is some of the best script I think I've had so far. Marrowyn has always been the hardest to write though, buh! I hope I'm doing him justice, but it's been a slog getting through it and making him feel as special as Rhoun did.

Marruk update:
All the linework is done! I even re-did his mouth a bit. His "open mouth" poses were not great when flipped so I redid those and I made his "fury" expression better. I might still change his monitor design, but that shouldn't take too long. I included it here though so you can see how it looks now.
(No, his synthetic eye hasnt changed sides either. That's just so if i flip the sprite his eye is on the right side.)

Art update:
Who's this little guy?! He seems nice. . . maybe. Maybe you can figure out who they are from the uniform, but if not, I thought it was a bit weird we only saw Rhoun's coworkers after all. . .
And- What is that thing? It looks like some kind of super lame totally not important robot?! Let's just ignore that for now. Let's not ignore the super cool lore implications of those numbers though! Now I just have to make their language not gibberish. . .
But really. Art has been a bit slow, I've got these sprites done but I think I need to finish another before the update, not to mention that my estimates for CG's and BG's has gone up to maybe 7-8 total (3 new bgs with 1-2 CGs per char)
I'm working on blocking those in now in 3d to be a bit easier.

Music update:
I've commissioned 4 new songs! No word on those yet but the call has gone out and I mean, you guys have heard the music in the VN already, I'm hoping it will be good!

Life update:
I'm still busy trying to find a job and work on my demo reel. It's definitely been taking time away from RYT work and I wont lie its left me pretty burnt out. I'm moving next month (nothing serious but it will take a few days obv.) so as much as I'd love to have everything ready for October, I think it's going to come out late regardless. I hope you can understand and thank you for your appreciation.
The RYT 1 year anniversary is in October though! I think. . . I realized I never saved the date but I'm pretty sure it is, hah!
