Cabin Fever 19 Nov 22

Hello there

Woooo look - due to my missing Thursday we get a cover post for Saturday which is yesterday's delayed Cabin Fever podcast.  Back on a Saturday where it dwelled happily for so long.

In today's episode, I talk dodgy referees, Casablanca, fairgrounds, catch up on Ask Ian (there's still a few questions left in stock but you can feel free to add more in the comments) and struggle my way through an autoharp song which I definitely can't sing.  Not like all the other ones which I sing beautifully.

I also do a few sneaky promos for the original movie storyboards on Etsy, which have genuinely been shifting really nicely.  I'm only pushing you to get them if you are waiting them out, I do think they are potentially going to sell out (but I do explain there is a plan B if they do).

Hopefully it's a bit of company from a boy who tries to fit in too many avenues every time he records something.

Have a wonderful weekend please and have as much of the love from here as you want. I'll be forlornly adding the final results to my Rugby League World Cup wall chart and being sad that it's over.

I genuinely thought it was a brilliant addition to a great event, but would have looked very different if it had swayed the result... and you got tickets and DIDN'T INVITE ME?????

Deffo want photos if you can get them (appreciate this is a really inconvenient time to respond to this!)

We were lucky to get tix for the wheelchair final last week. That referee was so mad. He refused to shake hands and put his medal on at the end and was then booed off. Have never seen such petulance from any official at any type of game.

Hi Ian, Iโ€™ve fallen way behind with Patreon, Iโ€™ve always managed to keep up with Cabin Fever but even that was beyond me these last couple of weeks so itโ€™s only tonight that I caught up with Cabin Fever and heard you talk about Pleasureland, Southport. I would love to read your thoughts on it. My sister worked on the river caves when she was at college. Pleasureland is still there but the big fixed rides have mostly gone. Some nice vintage kids rides straight from the 1970s. Everyone blames Blackpool for ruining Southport. They stole our best rides. I was gutted when they chopped up the Cyclone before it could get listed. It would have had an accidental fire anyway. Have you ever seen photos of the huge wooden roller coaster Southport had pre-war? Massive. Anyway had I listened when this was released I would have been at my mums in Southport. If you want any photos of rides I might be able to find them on some Facebook groups Iโ€™m in. My phone changed rides to rudes every time. No idea why ๐Ÿ‘€
