Hello there

Here we are with another Loopholes Extra podcast, where myself and Dr Kate Cherrell have a long overdue look back over the vintage TV series Arthur C Clarke's Mysterious World.

We had a bit of a meeting this evening about the future of the Loopholes podcasts, and tried to work out the best way of releasing these into the real world whilst keeping the Patreon benefits irresistible. Because we only do the extra podcasts sporadically, usually when one or both of us is ill (hello!), this tipped this up a bit, as there aren't as many of those in the pot. The Extra episodes will almost certainly remain Patreon exclusive, and we'd like to keep the main episodes way ahead on Patreon, rather than it just be an early release in the same week or whatever. The only reason to release them close together would be for outside interaction/comments etc, and we are more than happy with the massive amount of correspondence we get on Patreon. You should absolutely take priority, so there's no concerns about the plebs sulking that their names never get read out. We've built up a decent collection of the main Episodes so far, and so will be able to keep the releases between here and outside significantly different, but the conversation is still ongoing at present.

But anyway, I'll maybe explain that more in Cabin Fever or something, back to today's episode. Even though it's called Loopholes Extra, if you look at that running time you'll see it's nothing of the sort. It's a full length episode, produced to within an inch of its life again, and we are kidding ourselves thinking they are in any way easier than the main ones. Not least because of the source material we are dealing with, which today covers The Abominable Snowman and Bigfoot...

So that was great fun for me (it actually was).

Hope you enjoy it, hope you can find time to watch the actual original episode on YouTube at some point too. I don't see why we should be the only ones to have to endure it.
