Beauty Shots - BatPoles Edition

As it is a bank holiday over in the UK, I am today going to have a nice relaxing post of images.
By relaxing, I mean I got all the alternate hands and faces for the figures, and just spent the last three hours trying to take proper pictures of the BatPoles with my proper camera and very limited photography skills. I also really discovered quite how limited the pose-ability is on those figures. Hot Toys are usually much better than that, but there were several times I thought if I pushed it they would snap.
Anyways, I definitely felt that in the last BatPoles build video I didn't really show off the build once it was done. There were just a few quick shots of it, then I was out of dodge. So these pics today are me properly showing it, with guest star figures.
Before we start with that though, here's what I took that header picture for (as if you couldn't have guessed)...
That's smashing fun innit? I'm glad I posed them like that at least once...
Right, Batpoles. None of these pictures have been retrospectively altered, I was playing about with the different settings on the camera. Some may say that taking pics in Black & White is stupid, because you can add a black and white filter to a colour pic, but not the other way round. And I say...yep that's fair comment. It's done now though.

Sadly concentration was lacking at this stage and we had a slight mishap...
Which is as good a place as any to leave it...

Ha - I am definitely buying nothing for the foreseeable. So much kit in this house for filming and all the rest of it, and I'm not sure I'll be making a habit of the photography lark (although I am gonna do some beauty shots of my other dioramas I think). I vouch completely for your husbands reckless posing choices. I think we should all re-evaluate snapping things as an exciting bonus that gives us a chance to modify and repair...(please send my deepest sympathy and empathy) x
2022-06-08 01:51:13 +0000 UTCI really should have showed how the Adam West mouth changes. The bottom half of the face, beneath the cowl, is interchangeable on magnets... Robin only has one expression option though.
2022-06-08 01:48:32 +0000 UTCWonderfully staged! I can’t imagine how much more poseable these figures could be, considering what you were able to do with them. (Incidentally, I type this as my husband is repairing a miniature motorbike he finished a while back, after he tried to pose a scout trooper as a traffic cop writing someone a ticket. He’s not one to splurge on the widely articulating kit grades, and he ended up snapping off pieces from the bike while trying to pose the trooper on it.) Have you thought of getting a photo light box? Could be fun to play around with… x
