Well, it is possible something was going on with his dad, but I think it was Mary just maybe something else was going on. After all between him misinterpreting Mary and George's mood at the hospital when Mandy gave birth, and while he didn't know Mary had a miscarriage he assumed the tears were solely for him, and a few other incidents I think an event he comes across is likely an entirely something else. Like Mary dyed her hair or something and he thought it was someone else. As for the mean things said, potentially a deflect from the emotions or some what true. Like that episode where Mary says Georgie and Missy are dumb as soup, while we know they aren't that stupid Mary may not have seen that intelligence. Look at Meemaw in recent episodes she gets surprised by Georgie being smart granted he does still do stupid things.

2024-02-21 01:13:31 +0000 UTCThe way he explained it, including where his mother was at the time, I feel that one of the plot points going to be skipped completely, considering Mary's situation with everything else(sorry if this sounds vague but trying to avoid spoilers for people who may not have been TBBT). Not to forget TBBT spent the first 10 seasons with Sheldon and Mary saying mean things about the rest of the family only for the writers of TBBT to tone all that down once Young Sheldon started and we saw them for what it really was.

2024-02-20 03:05:05 +0000 UTCSo now that you’ve seen all the current season finales which is your favorite? For me the second one is still #1 with season six real close. That scene with George and Missy, i can remember being a teen and being angry and just all over place. The fact George is so great at communicating with her and reassuring her brings the tears. Especially knowing what will happen in season seven. There’s still two major plot points that are mentioned in TBBT that we still need to see. Im curious about one because I have a feeling it isnt the way Sheldon described it as an adult.

2024-02-20 02:00:54 +0000 UTCI have watched the Missy and George scene so many times, already. And I always tear up. The acting from both of them were amazing. I can only imagine how terrifying that would be. And I loved in that moment George was instantly protective over Missy-all anger gone. Because that's how it happens in near death experiences.
