2024-02-26 02:48:52 +0000 UTCAlastor is my favorite- but I’m fully aware of how manipulative he is. I trust him about as far as I can throw him. However, he’s definitely a complex character. He started out in the pilot just wanting to watch people fail for his own entertainment, and here he was offered perfect entertainment with Lucifer there and even Mimzy. Yet he chose to push her off and also try to point out to Charlie that hey, yeah he’s your dad, but he hasn’t been supportive or helpful in the past whereas Alastor HAS been helpful. He’s changing, whether he realizes it at this point in the storyline or not, and starting to care about these people. That will complicate any future evil plans he may or may not have. Also- I love just how unhinged he is. Poking the dead angel’s head and tasting it? Picking a custody battle fight with LUCIFER? Wild. 😂

I wasn’t expecting Lucifer to be like that when I first saw him but he quickly grew on me. It obviously doesn’t excuse his behavior or that he wasn’t a part of her life, but Lucifer having depression does make a lot of sense. People pointed out he isolated himself so he didn’t really interact with Charlie and I imagine he and Lilith splitting didn’t help. Depressed people also tend to disassociate so that would explain why he didn’t remember things like when they talked months ago. Also, it felt so relatable to hear him say “Take that, depression!” 🤣
