I've been following this show since the pilot aired on youtube, and to give you some backstory on everything; This show was originally aired on Youtube, and independently made by Vivziepop, the shows creator! (Her youtube tag) and it was made without assistance from any major studio to my knowledge, mainly pulling together some of Vivs animator friends to help make it. It was a massive achievement for indie animation, and that ammount of quality had never been seen before in the youtube sphere, which, alongside it just being a really good pilot, earned it a LOT of attention. It was popular enough that Viv was able to partner with A24 to make it into a full show, with proper funding from a studio and everything! That all being said, I'm sure you've heard some people mentioning Helluvaboss, which I also recommend you check out if you end up loving Hazbin! Helluva boss was a sort of 'Sister show' made to give the fans of Hazbin hotel something to watch while the first season of Hazbin was being made. It took four whole years between the Hazbin Hotel pilot and the official series, and in that time, all fans had was Helluvaboss to fill the gap. But It actually turned out to be such an amazing show on it's own, and I love it equally as much as I love Hazbin! (It's not a musical persay, but It has songs every other episode or so! The quality of animation is also incredible, and the series takes on more of a dark comedy/drama vibe!) With all that outa the way, I'm super excited for you to react to this show! It only has eight episodes but each one is amazing and I already love it to pieces! (It's also already confirmed to be getting a second season! Woohoo!) If you were ever interested in watching some of the side content made for the show, there's one particular video I'd recommend to you. The music video 'Addict' was made and released shortly after the pilot, and It's free to watch on Vivs channel! It's a music video featuring Angel Dust and Cherry Bomb, and It gives interesting insight into his character! (and hers) and is just a fantastic song. It's not needed to watch the show or anything, but it's great side content! Anyways though, sorry for the long comment! I hope you like the show! ^^
