How I Met Your Mother Season 2 Part 3 Full Reaction!

Comments

I confess I often play ”Let’s Go to the Mall” on Spotify whenever I go to an actual mall. This show has so much great music, there will be several songs you can add to a playlist as you progress through the show. As far as making adult films goes, for me it comes down to whether or not you are being exploited (and if you are, the shame does not fall on your shoulders). If you’re doing it bc it’s your choice and you feel good about it then you do you, but if you don’t enjoy doing it then I hope you are able to find some other way of making a living.

The slapbet episode ! This is probably my favorite episode of season 2, from the beginning of the slapbet with the 5 slaps to infinity (now 4) (and yes the number of slaps is accurate) which it's definitely the best running gag of the show (amongst other ones to come) to Robin Sparkles's "Let's go to the mall !" which is so addictive 😂

Cody my friend, let us introduce to you Robin Sparkles and "Lets Go To The Mall" that song is on YouTube and is totally addictive

As the ship captain was officiating Marshall and Lily’s wedding, Ted and Robin distract us momentarily with their brief conversation about Robin possibly being open to the idea of marriage (which, by the way, you said we’d talk about later, but, as I was sure it would, “Let’s Go To The Mall” completely upstaged that little character development). After this brief exchange, we cut back to the ship captain, who continues to read from his… er… I guess notes? Anyway, he continues: “… to declare your love and devotion to each other in front of friends and family - all the people who matter most to you…” it’s at the mention of the word “family” that Lily and Marshall exchanged “that little look” - Marshall’s family, who were among the people who mattered most to him, was not there. (You looked like you were perhaps still processing what Robin had just said about marriage, so maybe you weren’t fully registering the ship captain’s words that triggered the change of heart.) Lily and Marshall exchange a longer look and Lily says “we don’t want to do this” and Marshall follows it up with “we don’t”. (You wondered out loud “why?” and they explained it soon after, but the trigger was the word “family” and then the phrase “all the people who matter most to you” kinda drove it home.)

The end of the first episode was also a nod to the show Cheers. The song played on the jukebox was the theme song on cheers, and the closing credits were in the font and styled like Cheers.

The part where Swarley (Barney) comes in and everyone says his name at the end is a direct reference to the show Cheers, it was a show that ran from the early 80’s to early 90’s that mainly took place in a bar and one of the things the show was known for is that if anyone who was a regular that came in, they would yell out their name. You should watch Cheers at some point, I think you might like it or if not, they have a spin-off show called Frasier that ran from early 90’s to mid 00’s which is currently getting a revival on Paramount Plus right now.

the first joke about them being in the coffee shop is a reference joke for "Friend's" I don't know if you are still watching that with Nick or not but that is why it was supposed to be funny lol
