Sheldon’s stage fright could only be cure by alcohol. The gang tried the various techniques, Penny offered wine at the award ceremony. That episode where he’s watching the video of what he did plays in my head at times. Yes that was Barbara Jean and wherever Louise is Thelma shall follow. Not for a season, but the red will pop up. Oh and the little girl playing Bobbi was on Jane the Virgin and she can be a angelic terror on that show as well.

I was reading horror comics when I was 4, as I had brothers who were older than me by 9 and 10 years. Didn't do the superhero comics, was never into them even though I love the movies now. But horror was my jam. Vault of Horror, Tales from the Crypt, Weird Tales, etc. My parents were happy I was learning to read at an early age, and since I never had nightmares, it didn't concern them in the least. They also didn't look over my shoulder at what I was reading, LOL! I read Helter Skelter when I was 9 years old, and they didn't blink an eye. I'm really, truly grateful they didn't strict like that, didn't censor what I read or the music I listened to, didn't worry about tabletop RPGs like Dungeons & Dragons, didn't freak out about the way I dressed myself when I reached high school (we were the punk rock crowd, and I wore a black leather biker jacket painted with all sorts of punk band names like Circle Jerks, Sex Pistols, Dead Kennedys). Once I was 10 years old, they allowed me my first R-rated movie (Stir Crazy with Richard Pryor) and after that, movies weren't censored either. If they had any concerns about my behavior or activities -- which was rare -- they actually *talked* to me about it. It was pretty damn healthy, IMO. I felt trusted by them and accepted for who I was.

As a child growing up in a strict Christian household I wasn't allowed to watch Hocus Pocus, Halloween Town, or anything with magic in it or demons. I relate to Sheldon here LOL, I also got timeout for saying "oh my god" because it was using the lord's name in vain. I was terrified of being struck by lightening whenever I accidentally said it lmao

Sheldon had stage fright in BBT as well, I think that episode was to introduce the origins of that.

I loved the Mathew McCaughey joke, and a fan of him-huge fan of Dallas Buyers Club. I made sure everyone, including my dad, watched that movie

To answer your questions on Sheldon actually being able to act, sing, and dance, the actor for Sheldon is actually the son of Broadway actor Euan Morton who currently plays King George III in Hamilton right now, the actor has also done theatre reviews on YouTube before and during Young Sheldon, he doesn’t review much on YouTube anymore but, still sees theatre though.

There are 6 seasons done so far. Season 7 hasn't started yet.
