Love these videos, also I didn't know IMAX was a thing way back then. I was a 90s baby nd I don't remember IMAX beining a thing near me till like Maybe 2007 or maybe my moive theater finally upgraded to 1980s tech lol. We had 3D tho so idk lol.

My cat loves when I sing Soft Kitty to her; she starts purring and mrrring, it's adorable. So when I sang along with Mary, she was purring away! I use that song as a way to keep her calm on car rides to the vet or whenever something scares her, sort of a comfort song. Been singing it to her since she was a kitten. I'm Gen-X, and latchkey life was big for our generation. My parents started trusting me to stay on my own for a few hours when I was about 9 or 10 -- I was a pretty responsible kid, actually -- and it was SO nice not to be dragged along to the grocery store or to Mom's boring adult friends' homes all the time. I played with toys, watched MTV, read, or did creative writing, and it felt good to be trusted and to keep that trust. I had all the emergency numbers and was taught what to do, and that was that. I am really happy to hear that you were also trusted! It boggles my mind that these days, so few kids seem to be allowed to start learning self-reliance, and parents are always commenting on the Internet how they don't let their 11-, 12-year-olds, even teenagers out of their sight. I hope that's just the vocal minority and not the norm. It's the age when small chunks of freedom start teaching us how to handle ourselves without going wild and out-of-control.
