2023-06-01 22:06:44 +0000 UTCThe tombstone wreckage marks the turning point for me where I began to actively dislike Butcher. After 8 *years*, the woman's mother put up a tombstone so she would have some solace in visiting a grave, even if her daughter wasn't actually in it, to give herself some closure. All I could think about was that mother's face when she goes to the grave and sees her daughter's tombstone reduced to rubble. Makes me so *angry* at Butcher; he's such a selfish POS. We had glimpses of that with the way he easily uses and manipulates people like Hughie and MM. The cemetery was the clincher; he had no business going all the way out there just to destroy a tombstone -- for which he didn't even contribute funds -- that was giving some small amount of closure and comfort to a grieving mother and sister. UGH. That said, I do love this show. It's absolutely insane, and I'm along for every bit of the crazy ride. I hope that Deep gets what he deserves for being a predator, A-Train gets what he deserves being a murderer, Homelander gets what he deserves for being a psychopath, and Ezekiel gets what he deserves for being a hypocrite who pushes conversion! LOL, who knows if any will get their comeuppance. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how it unfolds.
