Definitely agree with you
I know that it turned into kind of an addiction for her and she was creeped out by Howard, but I would have absolutely loved it if later on in the show, Sheldon found an obscure video game that neither he nor Leonard had played and it turned out that Penny was secretly a gamer (and maybe if it was a game they all knew, she could have been secretly kicking their asses for years)

Sheldon is concerned about Amy, and his realizing that he doesn't want to be alone with only science and is OKAY with it is HUGE! So much growth for him, and I'm so proud of him. Sure, there aren't as many jokes, but Amy Riverdancing is one of my favorites, so I'm fine with it. It does irk me that Amy asks how to "pretend to like comics" I don't think it's funny, especially later in the seasons like this...I mean, they added Denise because women who read comics were more mainstream...but honestly, the women of the show not embracing the nerdy stuff is my only complaint about the show. At least Amy likes Harry Potter...

it's hilarious that howard described Stewart's smile as ghoulish, because I thought it looked like one of the ghouls from WoW

I'm glad you mentioned the character development. That's why I do appreciate season 10 and 11 especially. Sometimes I do like 11 more than 10, ect. But character development is important. However agreed they could have thrown in a few more jokes.
