There are a ton of differences between them but I feel like there are places where you benefit from having seen the Matilda movie from the 90s before seeing the Matilda the Musical. But that's just my feelings on it

Make sure to watch it when you're not emotionally raw over recent events or it's going to be painful. When you're ready to tackle something like that, we'll be ready to watch your reaction :)
