2024-09-14 16:33:55 +0000 UTCOh my, I’ve got a vague memory of first watching this when I was a kid (l think I was about 10, so 1993ish) after Match Of The Day one Saturday. They always used to put older films on then (Hammer, if you were lucky), so I always assume this was made in the mid-80s at best. But no. 1990. I must have first seen this as a unusual BBC decision to put something basically red hot new on after the football.
