Hybrid Animation proof of concept/demo video
Added 2024-09-04 18:21:56 +0000 UTCOur newest video was a lot more complicated than we initially thought it was gonna be, so at the beginning of August, we threw this together as an unpolished demo video to test with friends and family to see if the idea had legs.
Most of the animation is roughly blocked out, and none of it is composited with the paper effects. This animatic was done prior to the updated eyes and mouth rigs, so this video might look slightly off-model.
You'll probably recognize the script, but there are a handful of lines that were rewritten or added in for the final draft. Just about everything here is a placeholder. The only really polished concepts were for the new set, and the new 'Standing next to a screen and yapping about stuff' format. I spent the month of July building things out and getting a little more ambitious with the animation techniques, and I'm happy with the result.
Sidenote, this is not the behind-the-scenes bonus video, just a little something extra I thought would be fun to share.
