The Dino Master: The Yellow Wing Shatters

Kira, the Yellow Dino Thunder Ranger, stumbles upon a massive, warped prehistoric presence that seems to throb with ancient life. As the bones creak and twist, they emanate a psychic energy that digs into her mind, warping her memories and convictions. She begins to feel as though the dinosaur fossils are watching her, each rib cage a prison, each skull a silent predator. Kira’s brave façade cracks as the skeletal remains force her to confront her fears, pushing her to the brink of submission. Alone and surrounded by towering skeletons, her resolve begins to splinter as she realizes the fossils aren’t just relics—they’re hungry.

When the skeletons rise, can the strongest will avoid breaking?

Mesozoic horror!

Kira and Connor hurried into the Dino Thunder base, their hearts pounding with dread. Hayley stood at the console, her brow furrowed as she scrolled through the data on the missing Rangers. The screens around her flashed with fragmented signals, the faint echoes of Tommy, Ethan, and Trent’s morphers.

“They’re completely off the grid,” Hayley said, she added urgently tight. “I can’t pinpoint them, but their last known location was somewhere near the coastline. Then… nothing.”

“We don’t have time to waste,” Kira said, pacing anxiously. “If their signals are fading, it could mean they’re in serious trouble—or worse.”

Connor’s fists clenched. “Then let’s move now. We can search the coast.”

“No,” Kira interjected, turning to face him. “We’d never find them in time, not without some kind of lead. But maybe we can make one.”

“What are you thinking?” Hayley asked, she added cautious but curious.

Kira’s eyes darted toward Connor. “The Triassic Shield. It’s connected to the Morphing Grid deeper than anything we have. If Connor uses it, maybe we can establish a psychic link to the others.”

Hayley nodded, her mind already racing. “Theoretically, that could work. If the missing Rangers are still connected to the Grid, the Triassic Shield might bridge the gap.”

Connor hesitated for only a moment before summoning the shield. Its golden, glowing surface appeared in his hands with a surge of energy, humming with raw power. “Let’s do this.”

Connor stood at the center of the base, gripping the Triassic Shield tightly as its energy flared around him. Kira stood by his side, her hand resting on his shoulder for support. Hayley monitored the console, her fingers flying across the keys as she synchronized the Grid’s energy flow.

“Stay focused,” Hayley instructed. “This could get… overwhelming.”

The shield’s glow intensified, and Connor’s vision blurred as he felt his consciousness pulled into the Grid. At first, it was chaos—flashes of light and swirling shadows, incomprehensible murmurs of ancient power and rage.

“Do you see anything?” Kira asked, she added trembling with urgency.

“Not yet—it’s just noise,” Connor replied, he rasped strained. “But… wait, something’s forming…”

The images sharpened. Connor and Kira were hurled through the psychic storm, hurtling across Reefside at impossible speeds. The mental projection carried them toward the coastline, toward an abandoned seaside bunker partially hidden beneath jagged cliffs. The images flickered and wavered, but they could see the cavern system below the fort.

Inside, they saw the missing Rangers—Tommy, Ethan, and Trent. The three figures shuffled aimlessly, their movements stiff and jerky, their arms reaching forward as if grasping for something unseen. Their faces were twisted and vacant, eyes devoid of recognition.

“They’re still alive!” Connor exclaimed. “We can get them back!”

“Wait…” Kira’s voice was low and filled with dread. “There’s something behind them…”

The projection shifted, the view tilting upward to reveal the monstrous T-rex fossil, fully restored to flesh and bone, its glowing eyes burning with ancient fury. The overwhelming presence of the Dino Master radiated from the beast, suffocating and overwhelming.

“They’re not just zombies,” Kira whispered. “They’re being controlled. This thing—this power—it’s beyond anything we’ve ever faced.”

The T-rex’s glowing eyes flared, and the psychic storm surged around them. The cavern twisted and blurred, and Kira realized something was wrong too late. The Dino Master’s power wasn’t just projecting the images—it was pulling them in.

“Connor, get out of here!” Kira shouted, pushing him away from the psychic connection.

“Kira, no!” Connor screamed as he was flung back into the real world, his body landing hard on the floor of the base. He scrambled to his feet, reaching for her. “Kira!”

Kira remained locked in the psychic link, her body trembling as the Dino Master’s energy surged through her. Her visor flickered with static as she let out a sharp gasp, her hands clawing at her helmet.

“I—won’t—let—you…” she groaned, she added cracking with strain. But the power was too much. The mental projection shifted, and she stood alone in the cavern, face-to-face with the towering T-rex.

Its glowing eyes burned into her, filling her mind with images of primordial rage and unrelenting hunger. The weight of its presence crushed her will, forcing her to her knees. Her hands twitched uncontrollably as she tried to resist, but her suit felt hot and suffocating, her strength draining with each passing moment.

“No… no, I won’t…” Kira moaned, she added trembling. But her body betrayed her. She arched backward, her limbs jerking involuntarily as the psychic shockwaves overwhelmed her senses. She gasped and writhed, clawing at her helmet as if trying to tear it off. “I… can’t…”

Her screams filled the base, her body trembling violently as the Dino Master’s corruption spread through her. The glow of her Yellow Ranger suit flickered, its power faltering under the overwhelming force.

Connor watched in horror as Kira writhed, her body arching and twitching uncontrollably. Her hands clawed at her suit, her helmet, as if trying to escape the invisible force crushing her.

“Kira! Stay with me!” he shouted, grabbing her shoulders, but she didn’t respond. Her visor flickered, and a guttural moan escaped her lips as she convulsed, her head jerking side to side.

Hayley worked furiously at the console, she added urgent. “Connor, we have to break her connection to the Grid! If we don’t, she’ll—she’ll end up like the others!”

“I’m not losing her!” Connor yelled, his grip tightening on Kira as she let out another strangled scream. “Kira, fight it! Please!”

But Kira’s movements only grew more erratic, her body jerking violently as the psychic shockwaves consumed her. “It’s… too strong…” she gasped, she added barely audible. “Connor… I’m… I’m not…”

Her words dissolved into a scream as the cavern’s projection flickered around her once more. The T-rex loomed closer, its glowing eyes filling her vision as the Dino Master’s will crushed her completely.

Kira’s body jerked violently, her movements growing more erratic by the second. Then, as if a switch had been flipped, she froze. Her visor flared to life, glowing with an eerie crimson energy that pulsed with malicious intent. She cocked her helmet to one side, her breathing ragged and unnatural.

Connor froze, his heart sinking as he recognized the transformation. “Kira… no. Come back to us!”

Her head snapped toward him, her body trembling with suppressed energy. When she spoke, she added was distorted, filled with an unnatural mix of her own voice and something far darker. “You… you can’t stop it, Connor. The Mesozoic… rage… it’s unstoppable. It will consume everything, starting with you.”

“You’re all spark, Connor! Just a flicker! Let me snuff you out!” she screeched, her Ptera Grips glowing ominously as she slashed at his chest again, sparks flying. "Weak little ember—let me burn you into ash! KYYAAARGHHH!"

Connor gasped, stumbling backward, his body writhing under the assault. “Kira…” he managed, though he rasped was drowned out by her distorted scream.

“Burned-out ember!” she shrieked, jerking her head wildly. “What are you doing even trying? You think you can fight prehistoric fury? A spark against a firestorm?! HYAAAACK! Let’s see how fast you crumble!”

She lunged at him, slashing repeatedly, her erratic movements giving her an unpredictability that Connor struggled to counter. He flipped backward to dodge, but Kira was relentless, she added cutting through the air like a blade.

“Run! Run if you can!” she cackled, her laugh twisting into an unnatural screech. “You’re cornered, Red Ranger! The rage of the ancients doesn’t stop! HYEEEAAAH! EEEEEKKK-AAAH! Your precious shield can’t save you—what’ll save you now?!”

Connor raised his arms to block another blow, but Kira’s relentless strikes sent him skidding backward. The impact rattled through his arms, his grip on the shield faltering. “Kira—please—” he started, but she added drowned him out with another distorted scream.

“‘Please’ what, Connor?” she taunted, her crimson visor flaring ominously. “Begging doesn’t suit you. You’re the bold one, right? The leader? Let’s see how you lead when you’re on the ground groveling!” she screeched, she added almost euphoric with manic energy.

She screamed again, she added cracking with a blend of rage and twisted delight as she slammed into him, forcing him to drop the shield. The weapon clattered to the floor, its golden light faintming, as Connor fell to one knee.

“Where’s all that confidence now, Connor?!” she taunted, her body trembling with barely-contained energy. “Wasn’t this your fight? Aren’t you the one who charges in headfirst? Let’s see where that gets you—down on your knees! HYYYAAAAH-AAAARGH!”

Connor struggled to stand, his breathing ragged. “Kira…” he gasped, he rasped weak.

But she was already upon him. With a scream, she slashed at him again, her claws tearing across his chest and arms. Sparks flew as he cried out in pain, his body writhing as he tried to defend himself. His attempts to dodge or block her strikes were clumsy, his strength drained from summoning the shield and enduring her relentless onslaught.

“Keep standing, Connor! I’m not done yet!” she screeched, throwing her head back and howling. “I want to hear you scream for me! Show me how much the Red Ranger can take! YEEEAAAH! HRAAAAAH! KYYAAH!”

She slammed into him again, her claws raking across his chest plate. Connor gasped as the force sent him stumbling backward, his body trembling with the strain of trying to fend her off. Kira’s distorted laughter filled the air, a cacophony of wild, unhinged sounds.

“You’re a fighter, huh? Show me your fight! Come on, Connor, make this fun for me!” she screamed, circling him with erratic movements. “Or is this all you’ve got? Is this what the mighty Red Ranger is made of? Sparks and gasps and begging for mercy?! KYAAAACK! HAAARRRHHH! EEEIIII-AAAH!”

Connor scrambled to his feet, his breaths ragged, but Kira was already upon him again, slashing and clawing with reckless abandon. Her movements were a blur of crimson light and sparks, her laughter turning into ear-piercing screeches.

“You think dodging will save you?!” she shrieked, her claws connecting with his arms as he tried to block. “Let me see you move faster! Jump higher! Dance, Red Ranger! Dance for the fury of the ancients! HYYYIIEEEEAH! HHHRAAHHHH!”

Her Ptera Grips clashed against his arms as he tried to defend himself, but her strength was overwhelming. Each strike sent jolts of pain through his body, his suit struggling to keep up with the damage. Kira’s voice grew louder, more frenzied with every attack.

“You’re slipping, Connor! I can see it—your feet dragging, your arms trembling! That’s not the Ranger spirit—is that all you’ve got left?! EEEEAAAARGH! KYAAAH-AAAAH! Don’t slow down on me now! I’m having too much FUN!”

She slammed her weapons down on his shield, sending it flying from his grasp. Connor staggered, his knees buckling under the assault. Kira’s laughter filled the air, twisted and maniacal, as she circled him like a predator stalking its prey.

“Red Ranger down! Red Ranger cornered! What happens now, Connor?!” she screeched, jerking her arms wildly before pouncing on him again. “Where’s that bright spark I saw earlier? Snuffed out, huh? No more energy, no more fight—only a shadow left! KYEH-AAAAGH!”

Connor gasped, clutching his chest as he stumbled backward. His movements were sluggish now, his strength failing him. But Kira didn’t let up, she added rising to an ear-splitting pitch.

“Keep struggling! Keep trying! Let me see you claw your way back just so I can rip you apart again! HYYYAAARGH! HAAAACK-EEEHHH! The ancients demand your screams, Connor—give them what they want!”

She lunged at him again, slamming him into the ground with brutal force. Connor screamed as the impact rattled his body, sparks flying from his suit as he writhed beneath her. Kira’s Ptera Grips gleamed as she raised them for the final blow.

“Don’t close your eyes yet!” she screeched, her head jerking unnaturally as she leaned closer, she added dripping with malice. “I want you to see it coming—the end of your fight, the end of your spark, the end of YOU! KYAAACK-AAAARRRGH!”

Connor struggled beneath her, his body trembling as he tried to push her off. “Kira…” he gasped, he rasped weak and cracking.

But she only laughed, she added filled with a manic, primal rage. “Too late, Red Ranger! HYYYAAHHH-AAHHH! The prehistoric rage swallows all—your fight, your flame, your everything! This is where your story ends!”

Her body trembled with chaotic energy, her movements jerking wildly as she prepared to strike. Connor, gasping and trembling, reached out weakly, his vision blurring as Kira’s crimson visor loomed over him.

“A little spark…” she hissed, she added barely above a whisper, yet dripping with malice. “Let me snuff it out.”

Just as Kira’s Ptera Grips descended for the final strike, a brilliant flash of pink light erupted between her and Connor. A massive shield shaped like the armored back of an Ankylosaurus materialized, intercepting Kira’s weapons with a metallic clang. Energy surged outward, blasting Kira backward in a shockwave that sent her hurling into the base wall. She hit hard, screeching as sparks flew from her suit, her body slumping momentarily before jerking back upright like a puppet on strings.

Connor groaned, trying to lift himself off the ground as his blurred vision focused on the figure that had intervened. A Ranger clad in a sleek pink suit stood before him, wielding the Ankylosaurus Shield with steady confidence. The glow of her armor and the weapon's hum of energy radiated strength, but Connor froze in disbelief.

"Who… who are you?" Connor rasped, struggling to stay upright.

The figure turned toward him and, with a smooth motion, lifted her visor to reveal a face he never expected to see.

“Hayley?” he gasped, he rasped cracking with shock. “You’re a Ranger?”

Hayley smirked, her expression calm despite the chaos. “What, you thought I’d stick to just fixing your gear and monitoring your missions? Someone had to step in and clean up this mess.”

Connor blinked, still trying to process her transformation. “But… how—?”

“No time for that,” Hayley interrupted, her tone firm as her visor snapped shut. “Kira’s not going to wait for us to catch up. Stay on your feet—I’ll hold her off.”

Connor staggered to his feet, leaning against the wall for support. His chest throbbed where Kira’s strikes had landed, his suit flickering with damage, but the sight of Hayley in Ranger form sparked a faint glimmer of hope. “You’ve got timing, I’ll give you that.”

Kira let out a guttural growl as she staggered to her feet, her crimson visor glowing brighter with every jerking movement. Her head twitched violently, her body convulsing with raw energy. Her distorted voice erupted into a frenzied scream. “Pink?!” she screeched, her tone dripping with disbelief and fury. “You think you can stop this?! You think you can stop me?!”

Hayley stepped forward, the Ankylosaurus Shield glowing brighter as she raised it in defense. “You’re going to need more than wild swings to take me down, Kira.”

Kira threw her head back and screeched, her movements becoming more erratic as she charged forward. “You’ll regret this! I’ll tear you apart! I’ll show you what real power looks like! HYYYAAAAH!”

Kira’s Ptera Grips collided with Hayley’s shield, sparks erupting from the impact. The shock reverberated through the room, but Hayley stood her ground, the shield absorbing the brunt of the attack. Kira slashed again and again, her blows growing more unhinged and wild with each strike.

“Feel that, Pink Ranger?!” Kira screeched, she added cracking with manic delight. “This is the rage of the ancients! You don’t stand a chance against me! KYYAAAAARGHHH!”

Hayley blocked each attack, her shield glowing brighter with every impact. “Is that the best you’ve got?” she taunted, she added steady despite the onslaught. “You’re all fury and no precision.”

Kira screeched again, her visor flaring as she lunged with a burst of speed. “I’ll rip that shield apart! I’ll rip you apart! You’re nothing compared to this power! EEEEEAAAAARGH!”

Hayley countered with a quick swing of her shield, the force sending Kira stumbling backward. “For someone so obsessed with power, you’re not very smart about using it,” Hayley quipped, her confidence unwavering.

Connor pushed off the wall, his legs shaky but determined. “Hayley… you’re holding her off?” he asked, he rasped tinged with disbelief.

Hayley glanced over her shoulder. “For now. But we’re going to need to work together to bring her down. Think you’re up for it?”

Connor gritted his teeth, summoning what strength he had left. “I’ll manage.”

Kira shrieked louder, her crimson visor flashing violently as she recovered. Her body jerked and twisted, her movements even more erratic as she charged at them again. “You think you’ve won?! I’ll crush you! I’ll grind you into nothing! HYYYAAARGH!”

Hayley stood firm, raising the Ankylosaurus Shield as she prepared for the next assault. “Connor, get ready. This fight isn’t over.”

Connor nodded, stepping up beside her, his Triassic Shield flickering faintly as he summoned it back to his side. “Let’s finish this,” he rasped, determination flashing in his eyes.

The two Rangers stood side by side, their shields glowing as they faced the frenzied Kira. Though the odds were still against them, the spark of hope ignited by Hayley’s arrival burned bright.

Kira's screeches echoed through the base as she leaped from wall to wall with unnatural speed and ferocity. Her movements were wild, unpredictable, and far too fast for Connor or Hayley to get a clean strike. Sparks flew as her Ptera Grips slashed against the walls and floor, her strikes leaving scorched marks in her wake.

“She’s faster than before!” Connor shouted, gripping his Triassic Shield tightly as he attempted to block one of her acrobatic lunges. The impact rattled through his arms, forcing him back a step. “She’s like a wild animal out of control!”

Hayley swung her Ankylosaurus Shield to intercept Kira mid-air, but the Yellow Ranger twisted her body mid-leap, flipping effortlessly over the attack. She landed with a feral growl, her crimson visor glowing as she launched herself at Hayley with clawed strikes that came faster than the eye could follow.

“Animalistic isn’t even the word!” Hayley shot back, ducking as Kira’s claws barely missed her head. “She’s completely unhinged! Like she’s running on pure instinct!”

Kira flipped backward and clung to the wall like a predator stalking her prey. Her body trembled with chaotic energy, her limbs twitching as if barely containing the overwhelming power coursing through her. She angled her head unnaturally to one side, her distorted voice cutting through the air like a whip. “You can’t stop me! You’re slow! Clumsy! Weak! KYYAAAHHH!”

With an ear-piercing screech, she lunged at them again, moving so fast she seemed like a blur of yellow and crimson light. Her Ptera Grips clashed against both their shields simultaneously, the force of the impact sending Connor and Hayley skidding backward.

Connor grunted, barely holding his ground. “If we don’t break whatever’s controlling her soon, she’s going to tear us apart!”

“No kidding!” Hayley retorted, sidestepping another wild slash from Kira. “We need to hit her hard—hard enough to knock some sense back into her!”

The problem was catching her. Kira moved like a whirlwind, her flips and spins making her nearly impossible to pin down. Every time they tried to counter her attacks, she darted away, only to come back at them from another angle.

She screeched again, her body twisting into a mid-air spin as she aimed a double slash at Connor. He barely managed to duck under the attack, the claws grazing the top of his helmet and sending sparks flying.

“Can’t even touch me, can you, Red?!” Kira howled, she added filled with mocking delight. “You’re too slow! Too weak! KYYAAHHH!”

Connor growled, slamming his shield into the ground to steady himself. “She’s taunting us—she knows we can’t keep up with her speed.”

Hayley sidestepped another lunge, her Ankylosaurus Shield glowing brighter as she prepared for Kira’s next move. “We’re not going to outpace her,” she gasped, she added sharp with determination. “But if we can pin her down, we might stand a chance!”

Kira flipped backward again, landing with a feral grace as she crouched low, her visor glowing like a predator’s eyes in the dark. “Pin me down?” she hissed, she added dripping with mockery. “You’ll never catch me! I’m faster than both of you combined! HYAAAARGHHH!”

She darted forward, her movements so erratic that it was impossible to predict where she would strike next. Her claws raked against Connor’s shield, forcing him back again, while she twisted mid-air to deliver a sharp kick to Hayley, knocking her off balance.

Hayley grunted as she hit the ground but quickly rolled to her feet. “We don’t have time to play games, Connor! We need to corner her, now!”

“Easier said than done!” Connor shouted, raising his shield just in time to block another lightning-fast strike from Kira. The force sent him staggering back, his arms trembling under the impact. “She’s not slowing down!”

Kira let out a wild laugh, her movements becoming even more animalistic as she leapt onto a nearby wall, her body coiled like a spring. “What’s wrong? Too slow for the ancient rage? Too weak to handle prehistoric might? HYAAAHHH!” She launched herself at Hayley with a ferocious lunge, her claws aimed directly for her chest.

Hayley sidestepped at the last second, using her shield to deflect the strike. The collision sent another shockwave through the room, but Kira twisted mid-air again, landing on her feet with an unnatural grace. Sparks flew as her claws scraped the ground, her head snapping back toward the two Rangers.

“She’s toying with us,” Hayley muttered, she added tight with frustration. “We need to change the game.”

Connor nodded, his mind racing. “If we can’t keep up with her speed… then we need to use her own momentum against her.”

Hayley smirked, the glow of her shield intensifying. “Now you’re thinking. Let’s see if she likes running straight into a trap.”

The two Rangers squared up, their shields raised as they prepared for Kira’s next attack. The Yellow Ranger screeched again, her body trembling with chaotic energy as she crouched low, ready to pounce.

“Let’s end this, Kira!” Connor shouted, his shield pulsing with energy. “Come on, show us what you’ve got!”

Kira’s visor flared crimson, and she let out a piercing scream as she lunged forward, her movements a blur of yellow light and sparks. But this time, Connor and Hayley were ready. With precise timing, they shifted their positions, angling their shields to intercept her attack.

The impact was explosive, the combined force of their shields redirecting Kira’s momentum and sending her crashing into the ground. Sparks flew as she rolled to a stop, her body trembling violently as she tried to recover.

“Now!” Hayley shouted, her Ankylosaurus Shield glowing brightly as she moved to pin Kira down. “We’ve got to break the link while she’s vulnerable!”

Connor followed suit, his Triassic Shield humming with power as he joined Hayley in holding Kira down. The Yellow Ranger thrashed wildly beneath them, her screeches echoing through the base as she struggled against their combined strength.

“You can’t stop me!” Kira howled, she added filled with rage and desperation. “You can’t break me! KYYAAAAARGHHH!”

But the two Rangers held firm, their shields glowing brighter as they poured every ounce of their strength into breaking whatever sinister force held their teammate captive. The room shook with the intensity of their struggle, the fate of their friend—and perhaps their entire team—hanging in the balance.

Kira let out a piercing, distorted scream, she added reverberating through the base with such force that the walls themselves seemed to shake. The sonic burst radiated outward, its chaotic energy slamming into Connor and Hayley like a shockwave. Connor staggered, raising his shield just in time to absorb the brunt of the impact, but Hayley’s Ankylosaurus Shield glowed brightly as it absorbed the sonic energy head-on.

"Not so fast, Kira!" Hayley shouted, she added cutting through the cacophony. The Ankylosaurus Shield shimmered with pink energy as it pulsed, countering Kira's burst of sound. Hayley braced herself, planting her feet as the shield redirected the blast, dispersing the destructive wave into harmless fragments of light.

Kira screeched in frustration, her movements jerking as she lunged forward, her Ptera Grips crackling with chaotic energy. “You think that’s enough to stop me?! I’ll shred you to pieces, Pink! KYYAAAAHH!”

Hayley didn’t flinch. “You’re out of tricks, Kira. Let’s finish this!”

With a burst of power, Hayley surged forward, her Ankylosaurus Shield glowing with a brilliant pink aura. She swung the shield with calculated precision, slamming it into Kira’s weapons mid-strike. The impact created a resounding clang, the force rippling outward and sending Kira stumbling backward.

“Stay down!” Hayley shouted, advancing quickly. She swung again, this time catching Kira in the side and sending her careening into the nearest wall. The Yellow Ranger hit with a loud crash, sparks flying from her suit as she slumped to the floor, groaning.

Kira’s body twitched violently, her visor flickering as she struggled to rise. “You… won’t… stop… me!” she hissed, she added strained but still filled with defiance. Her body jerked as she tried to leap back into the fight, but Hayley was already on her.

“No, Kira. It’s over!” Hayley shouted, channeling the Ankylosaurus Shield’s full power. The weapon glowed brightly as she raised it above her head and brought it down with a thunderous swing. The impact hit Kira squarely in the chest, slamming her against the wall with enough force to leave a dent in the reinforced metal.

The Yellow Ranger let out one final, guttural screech before collapsing to her knees. Her body trembled as the crimson glow of her visor flickered erratically, the sinister energy that had controlled her beginning to wane. Sparks danced across her suit, the corruption visibly fracturing as Hayley’s attack broke its hold.

Connor, still clutching his Triassic Shield, staggered to Hayley’s side, breathing heavily. “Did… did it work?” he panted, he rasped filled with cautious hope.

Hayley lowered her shield, her visor snapping open as she surveyed Kira’s slumped form. “The link’s broken,” she gasped, her tone a mix of relief and exhaustion. “Whatever had her—it’s gone. At least for now.”

Kira’s body twitched one last time before going still. The glow in her visor faded completely, leaving only the faint hum of her suit’s normal energy. Slowly, she raised her head, her breathing ragged as she looked up at her teammates.

“Connor… Hayley…” she rasped, she added hoarse and trembling. “What… what happened? I… I couldn’t stop it…”

Connor knelt beside her, placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder. “It’s okay, Kira. You’re back. That’s all that matters.”

Hayley offered her a small smile, extending a hand to help her up. “You gave us a run for our money, though. Let’s just say I’m glad we had the Ankylosaurus Shield on our side.”

Kira hesitated for a moment, her body still trembling from the ordeal, before taking Hayley’s hand. “I… I couldn’t control it,” she gasped, she added breaking. “That… thing… it was like it took over my whole mind. I couldn’t stop myself…”

“You’re safe now,” Hayley said firmly. “But whatever was controlling you—it’s not gone. Not completely. We’ll figure it out. Together.”

Connor nodded, his strength slowly returning as he helped steady Kira. “We’ve got work to do,” he rasped, determination flashing in his eyes. “Whatever’s behind this—it’s not going to win. Not while we’re still standing.”

The three Rangers stood together, battered but united, as the lingering echoes of Kira’s corruption faded into silence. Whatever villain had taken control of their teammate was still out there, watching, waiting—but for now, the Dino Thunder team had won a hard-fought battle.

Kira groaned as she sat up, her body trembling from exhaustion. Her visor flickered briefly before her suit powered down, leaving her in her civilian clothes. Her hands shook as she rubbed her temples, her face pale and drawn.

“I saw… something,” she muttered, she added faint but urgent. “When it had me—when that thing controlled me—I saw where they might be. Ethan, Trent, and Doctor O… I think I can track them.”

Connor crouched next to her, placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder. “You don’t have to do this alone, Kira. We’re in this together. Whatever’s out there, we’ll face it as a team.”

Kira looked up at him, her eyes glistening with determination despite the fatigue weighing her down. “I have to help,” she gasped firmly. “I need to fix this.”

Connor nodded and helped her to her feet. “Then let’s get to work.”

Hayley stepped forward, her Pink Ranger suit still active, and gestured toward the console. “If Kira’s connection to… whatever that was gave her a glimpse of their location, we can use the residual energy in her suit’s systems to narrow it down. Come on.”

The three moved quickly to the console, Hayley taking charge as she began channeling the energy signatures from Kira’s suit into the base’s systems. The room filled with the hum of scanning equipment, the lights flickering as the system worked to pinpoint their missing teammates.

Kira leaned on the console for support, her hands still trembling. “It was… underground. A cavern. Fossils everywhere. It felt old, like something that shouldn’t exist anymore.”

Hayley’s fingers flew over the keyboard as she adjusted the scanners. “That’s good—it gives us a starting point. If their morphers are still active, even faintly, we should be able to trace them.”

Connor stood nearby, his Triassic Shield still in hand as he watched the screens intently. “Come on, come on… give us something.”

After a tense few moments, Hayley’s face lit up. “Got it! There’s a faint energy signature matching their morphers near the coastline—underneath that old bunker by the seaside fort.”

Connor straightened, his grip on the shield tightening. “That’s where they are. Let’s gear up and—”

Before he could finish, the base’s teleportation grid flared with a sudden burst of light. The room filled with an ominous hum as two figures materialized in the center of the base. Connor and Hayley immediately raised their weapons, stepping in front of the groggy Kira to shield her.

Ethan and Trent stood before them, but they were barely recognizable. Their suits shimmered with dark, corrupted energy, their helmets distorted with jagged patterns. The two corrupted Rangers moved unnaturally, their limbs twitching and jerking as if pulled by unseen strings. With a hiss, they removed their helmets, revealing horrifying transformations.

Half of their faces were reptilian, scales glinting under the base’s lights. Their glowing eyes burned with malice, and their mouths twisted into cruel grins, exposing sharp, predatory fangs. Ethan let out a low, guttural hiss, while Trent’s head twitched unnaturally to the side.

“Found you,” Ethan rasped, he rasped warped and slurred. “The Dino Master sees everything.”

Connor’s eyes widened in shock. “Ethan? Trent? What the—what happened to you?”

Trent laughed sharply, his reptilian tongue flicked briefly between his teeth. “We’ve been… enlightened,” he hissed, he rasped dripping with venom. “You should be grateful. The Dino Master has shown us the truth.”
