Come, stroll around our garden. Take the scenic route. You might meet the multicolored garden gnomes! Once, they called themselves Rescue Sentai heroes. Now, they decorated the place between the trees abundant with flowers and fruits.
Don’t mind the young slaves that are stuffing their mouths with the bounty of our garden!

They arrived at the desolate location outside of the city. Despite being in the middle of a forest, the quarry was barren. A lone dirt road enabled their jeep to rush into a depression where the Rescue Sentai heroes disembarked.
“The disturbance came from here,” said Matsuri as the unmorphed GoPink while looking at her wrist device.
“It seemed quiet around here,” replied Shou.
The whole team was confused. Other than them, there was no one else there. There weren't any animals either. The sky was as empty as the ground. Only some thorny bushes dotted the place.
“Whatever is making the signal is here,” said Matoi, the team leader. With his command, the GogoFivers spread out to cover more ground. The warriors in human form made their way between the plants carefully. They didn’t want to fall into a trap by the demons.
“Any luck?” asked Matoi after a while.
“Nothing,” replied Nagare. The other heroes shook their heads.
“Minna, over here!” called out the distant voice of Daimon. Everyone rushed to his location. Matsuri even jumped over a boulder to get to him.
The GogoFivers were perplexed at what they saw. Sticking out of the dusty ground was an odd-looking arm. It wasn’t a human arm with wrinkled green skin and reddish veins. The fingers ended with sharp talons too.
“What the heck is that?” asked the repulsed Matsuri.
“That doesn’t look friendly,” commented Shou.
But that didn’t stop Daimon from approaching it. The youngest hero reached out despite all the red flags.
Fortunately, Matoi grabbed Daimon’s arm to stop him. “It might be a trap,” he warned.
Unfortunately, the demonic arm already detected their presence. Two of its claws shot out as sharp-ended tentacles that wrapped around their Morphers. “Argh!” Daimon shouted as he felt the pain from the thorn that stabbed his skin. He desperately tried to remove the veins that stuck on his hand. “I can’t get it off!”
“Red! Yellow!” called out Matsuri as she and the other rushed in. Their desire to help got them lured to the trap.
The arm shot out three more vines that coiled around their Morphers. Nagare, Shou, and Matsuri all yelled as they were agonized by the fat spikes that jabbed their arms. For some of them, blood seeped down.
Matsuri saw an important detail of a crimson flower bud sticking out between the green tentacles. “What kind of trap is this?”
Her answer came in the form of a swarm of vines shooting out of the original demonic arm. They coalesced into a monstrous form. “Welcome to the garden of Baira, GogoFive!”
The hurt heroes still put out their signature fighting pose. “You did this to us?” barked Matoi.
The hideous plant-themed creature laughed maniacally. “Of course! Although I never thought that it would be so easy to trap all of you with one sweep.”
“We’re gonna sweep you clean, Monster!” called out Matoi as the team leader. His siblings were already in their formation around him. “Ikuzou!”
Before the heroes could morph, Baira pointed at them with an important announcement. “Not so fast, little heads! The moment you use your morphers will be the moment my beautiful roses unleash their pollen to the world. They will destroy everything in their path. This city, this country, this world, will not survive. Mankind can then thank the GogoFivers as their harbinger of doom!”
“No!” denied the emotional Daimon. “That can’t be!”
Baira chuckled at their denial. “Don’t believe me? Just try it!”
Sure!” Daimon lifted her arm, but Shou tackled him right away. “Argh, let me go!”
“What if he’s telling the truth! We’re gonna kill everyone!”
The team’s dilemma and conflict between each other was an entertainment for Baira, but he wanted more. “Perhaps I am lying. Perhaps I am telling the truth. Sooner or later, you will find out. Just to make sure that you WILL find out, I have set my roses to bloom at noon today. It means you have not much time left of your heroic lives, GogoFivers!”
“Damn you!” shouted Nagare as he went for the kill. His powerful kick failed to hit anything as Baira escaped as a swarm of snake-like vines that slithered out into the bushes. “Damn it!”
“There’s no way what he said was true, right? There’s no way our morphing will kill everyone?” asked the devastated Matsuri. The vines grabbed her arm even tighter. The thorns pierced her skin and made blood trickle out. The heroic nurse gasped and exhaled as she could feel the growing agony. She even moaned.
“We gotta come up with a plan to deal with this,” suggested Matoi. “Let’s head back to the base.”
Defeated, the Gogofivers hopped into their jeep and drove away. Observing them from between the trees above was Baira. “You will think that you can escape my roses, Sentai heroes. But I have more petals than only one!”
Back at the Super Rescue Lab, Matoi was strapped onto a metallic chair. Before him, there was a large laser cannon. He didn’t struggle because the weapon would not kill him. The dangerous end part of the bulky device was aimed at the diabolical rose that covered his transformation item.
“Hold perfectly still, Matoi,” commanded his father, Professor Mondo Tatsumi.
Matoi nodded despite the weariness on his face. The professor clicked the switches and the laser cannon fired. The meter on the control panel exhibited the power levels.
A tight beam of high-intensity beam flashed to burn the rose. At first, there were only short bursts to prevent overheating. Matoi watched as the flower turned black due to the heat. He gulped at the strange sensation that accompanied the process. He gulped.
The power was ramped up. There was only one continuous firing of the energy beam. Matoi gritted his teeth as the anguish grew dangerously close to overtaking his mind. His face was soaked with sweat. The GoRed groaned hard before collapsing.
“Matoi!” called out everyone, including Professor Tatsumi who turned off the weapon.
Matoi was extremely fatigued, but he was okay to some degree. His breaths were short and sharp. His heart beat hard. “It’s… It’s okay.”
His attention turned to the demonic rose. It turned charred. The petals were destroyed entirely to leave blistered remnants. “It worked!” blurted Shou.
Everyone was relieved. Baira’s trap wasn’t as bad as he said it would be. Or was it?
The broken rose shivered. The blackened parts recovered themselves. The crimson color returned. The fat flower bud was restored. “No!” uttered Nagare in disbelief.
Daimon wasn’t ready to give up. “We still have 18 minutes. There must be something we can do!”
“Maybe we can isolate ourselves when the flowers bloom,” suggested Shou.
Professor Tatsumi shook his head. “I have checked. The pollen is too small for our containment devices.”
Matsuri was close to crying. She looked away from the bickering. Her glass eyes looked out the window where a supersonic airplane darted across the blue sky.
That was enough to light a spark of bright ideas. “That’s it!”
Her words made everyone look. “Matsuri?”
“We have LinerBoy, right?” exclaimed the excited GoPink. That put hope in all heroes.
“Everyone, strap up your seatbelts. It’s gonna be a long way up!” announced the sentient AI Linerboy at the helm of his shuttle form. Inside, the five GogoFive heroes sat on the passenger seats. He didn’t even give them a countdown with essentially no time to spare.
Once everyone’s ready, the booster rockets fired from Tatsumi Lab’s special launch pad. The spaceship left a long trail of white smoke that towered until its end could no longer be seen.
“Excellent choice, GogoFive!” laughed Baira who was observing their plan all along. “Time to continue the plot!”
People screamed as the building around them exploded. Some of them were buried by the collapsing material while others were slashed by the ambushing Familiar Imps. Behind them, Baira walked casually without meeting any resistance. “I love the smell of burning humans in the morning!”
The monster was attacking the sports center area of a nearby campus. The running student-athletes’s exits were suddenly barred by strange trees that burst out of the concrete. Giant flowers bloomed with tentacle-like vines that shot out to grab the poor youngsters. Despite their screams and protests, they were gulped by the flowers one by one.
Baira savored the agony of these young athletes as they became nothing but moving bulges that traveled down deeper into the trees’ trunks. Their muffled screeches made his guffaw even louder. “Suffer as my fruits forever, young spirits. Your souls will nourish my garden!”
His twisted fun time was interrupted by the LinerBoy that shot across the Tokyo skyline. From the high-tech shuttle, five multicolored comets jumped to block the monster’s path. They landed as the fully-transformed GogoFive Sentai heroes.
“Your reign of terror ends here, Baira!” barked Matoi as GoRed.
“What?!”
“You think your little flowers can get rid of us?” boasted Nagare.
“We’ve disposed of all of them once and for all!” added Matsuri who crossed his arms on the chest. The marks of her previous stabbing by the diabolical flowers were still there, but she was free now.
“Then I will finish you myself,” rejected Baira.
“You just don’t know when to quit!” fingered Matoi. “Ikuzou!”
“Chakusou!” replied his teammates as they started the transformation sequence. The buttons were pressed and the heroes glowed. The spandex suits crawled up their bodies, forming boots and gloves. The helmets were constructed too, along with the metallic breathers. The last thing that materialized was their glossy visors. “Hyaah!”
“Nice suit! You’d be perfect garden gnomes!” mocked Baira. Accompanied with his Imps, the monster charged at the coming Sentai heroes.
A battle ensued. As some heroes fought the swarm of foot soldiers, GoRed went head-to-head with the big demon himself. His V-Lancer clashed with Baira’s spiky arm. “It’s going to need more than pathetic tricks to beat us!” bragged Matoi as he countered the monster’s power.
“No need to worry. I got many things to subjugate clowns like you!” Without warning, six tentacle vines sprung out from Baira’s back and stabbed Matoi all over. Sparks flew as his suit took damage. In the confusion, the monster gave the team leader a finishing kick.
GoRed was sent tumbling until Matsuri caught his momentum. “Red, are you okay?”
But she didn’t have the time to get the answer as Baira already charged at them. “V-Lancer!” called out GoPink.
Her shot was precise, but her target was not an ordinary one. To her shock, Baira split into two similar clones. The twin slashed her chest with their barbed tentacles. GoPink hurled toward the concrete wall and writhed in pain on the ground.
“Matsuri!” cried out Nagare. He didn’t realize that another Baira clone was behind him. When he turned around, it was too late. The barbed tentacles wrapped around his body like a tight cocoon. Inside, his suit was harmed by the scarifying thorns. The spandex materials tried to hold, but it was a futile attempt as GoBlue’s powers depleted.
Shou and Daimon heard their brother’s scream as he was yanked out of the thorny cocoon. GoBlue landed inglorious on the ground with a damaged costume. Some of them even showed bloody lacerations.
GoGreen and Yellow destroyed their last Imp adversary and rushed in to help. At that moment, they heard Baira’s disembodied voice. “I always want slave boys.”
The veins from the surrounding strange trees bolted out at the two Sentai heroes. They twisted and coiled with each other to form a spherical cage around the GogoFivers. “Let us go!” shouted Daimon.
But what they got was torment. The cage interior was dotted with strange flowers. From each, sharp spikes protruded. Then the entire jail deflated to trap the Sentai heroes. They had no chance to escape the attacking sharpness. Like Nagare before, GoGreen and Yellow were trapped inside inescapable cocoons of destruction. They squirmed and howled inside as the torture broke their spirit.
Then the cages inflated again. Inside, the subjugated Shou and Daimon were nothing but fatigued youngsters in spandex. Just like their siblings outside, their costumes were worn out and damaged with wounds.
“The pollen is just a distraction to my masterpiece. You see, the moment your arms were attached by my vines, you were already doomed. The pricks are infused with my dazzling toxin that slowly brings down your body system under my fold. That’s why your fighting skills were laughable today. You basically just surrendered yourselves to me!”
“No way, no way in hell-” The struggling Matoi was stepped on by Baira. The other GogoFivers could only watch as their team leader’s helmet was grabbed and torn by the monster. Matoi’s face was fully exposed.
“Oh my, you look so pale. How about some fruits to fix your nutrition?” Baira extended his arm and one of the strange tree’s veins delivered him a banana. It might be a banana with its curving shape, but the purple color and the yellow dots suggested something sinister. The monster didn’t even care to peel the skin. He just shoved the fruit into Matoi’s mouth.
The subdued GoRed was forced to swallow the disgusting thing. He was gagged as the others could hear his choked noises. He struggled to escape, but his powers were below Baira’s.
That made Baira laugh in satisfaction. “Swallow it, Sentai hero. Feel as it disperses its corruption to your body system. Soon, you will join the trees as my proper garden decoration!”
“Matoi, no!” called out Nagare, but there was nothing he could do. He tried to crawl to his brother, but the Baira clone got him suppressed too. GoBlue got the same treatment, only with an orange. It might be an orange, but what kind of orange got colorful spots on it? Moreover, Matsuri could smell the stench of old sweat instead of the citrusy one.
The difference didn’t matter for GoBlue. His mouth was now wide open with the juicy orange stuck in it. He tried to push the fruit out, but his tongue couldn’t do it. The pressure of his jaw only squeezed the reeking odor. Nagare’s eyes were pushed white by the smell that was worse than socks used by an entire soccer team for a week.
The Baira clones celebrated their victory by teasing the remaining male Sentai heroes. The tentacles on their arms combined to form a mace that clanked against the root cages Shou and Daimon were trapped in. The strange property of the bars made ringing sounds that pierced into GoGreen and GoYellow’s helmets. The two gritted their teeth and ineffectually tried to cover their ears from the evil noises. “Hear the song of nature, Sentai heroes! You will soon sing it too!”
“I can’t fight it! It’s penetrating my brain!” shouted the struggling Shou as he desperately covered the sides of his helmet.
“It’s taking over! I can see green all over!” added the similarly hopeless Daimon as he slowly kneeled under the pressure.
All that was left was Matsui as GoPink. She grunted and groaned at her previous injuries and battle damage. Despite all the pain, she still had a fighting spirit. She would join his team even by crawling.
And crawled she did. She dragged her beautiful broken form against the concrete pavement of the campus stadium toward the gagged Matoi. She could see her oldest brother being force-fed by the demonic monster. GoRed was in a state of delirium as the hellish fruit juice mixed with his drooling saliva. It seemed that Baira was too focused on tormenting him to pay attention to the coming pink warrior.
Matsuri used her arms to move closer and closer, but she felt something was very wrong. As if beyond her own control, she was moving away from Matoi and closer toward a big pile of various kinds of demonic fruits. “No, No, this can’t be…” cried GoPink inside her helmet.
The female Sentai hero stopped her plod. In front of her was the massive heap that made a shadow against her pink spandex costume. Matsuri grabbed her helmet and removed it.
The team was devastated. The girl was revealed to be crying all this time. Her eyes were swollen by tears that flowed on her cheeks. Her face was red and some of her messy hair dangled. She pulled her snot and used her hands to grab one of the fruits.
“Matsuri… Matsuri!” called out the lightheaded GoRed. Even in his agony, he was still caring for his sister.
“Please stop, Matsuri!” called out the writhing Daimon in his inescapable prison. His hand reached out but only for so far.
Around her was the echoing laughter of her new master. Baira walked behind Matsuri and yanked her hair back. She was forced to look up. The other monstrous hand compelled her mouth to open wide. Then, the disgusting fruit went in.
The conquered GoPink gagged at the distasteful pome. The smell made everything worse. With it, her mind fantasized of being violated by her bare brothers in the Tatsumi Lab changing room. No matter how hard she tried to escape, Matoi and the others always got to her. She screamed while her arms and legs were grabbed.
As her eyes went wide, Matsuri lost track of her own world. Perhaps the experience in the changing room was just an illusion. Perhaps it was a real thing that happened to her. Yeah, it must be real because it felt real. Matsuri screeched in mental pain as more and more of her heroic self was eroded by the fruit. One fruit was enough to break her spirit, but Baira and his clone were ready with many of them. Without mercy, they shoved those small tokens of evil into her gaping mouth. The more she ingested, the more she screamed in agony, the more she lost herself.
Eventually, Gopink collapsed on the concrete floor. So were her siblings. There, they writhed and convulsed. All witnessed by the powerless GoGreen and Yellow. The team was done and now they were receiving the consequences of their defeats.
Daimon expected the worst, but something worse happened. The three GogoFivers got back up. They looked back at their remaining teammates. Shou and Daimon gasped at what they saw.
Those were Matoi, Nagare, and Matsuri, but they weren’t the same people as before. GoGreen and Yellow weren’t even sure that they were still humans. Their faces had turned as green as a vine with the same texture. Some thorns stuck out of their damaged costume. They were as crimson as their glowing eyes. The corrupted Sentai heroes moved in a jerky fashion, like zombies. Whatever heroism they had before, it was gone now.
“Say hello to my newest garden gnomes, Sentai heroes!” announced Baira with a twisted sense of pride.
In the cages, Shou and Daimon broke. They retreated into fetal positions. Rescue Sentai GogoFive team’s defeat left them embittered with themselves. They didn’t know how long they could endure the excruciation before their minds snapped too.
Chuckling at the despair of their soon-to-be slaves, the Baira clones brought more fruits to be devoured by Shou and Daimon. One of them showed a bunch of abhorrent black grapes special for the GoYellow.
