Regarding you saying that you thought you'll be hearing more ballads, for their first 2 albums RV divided their red and velvet concepts. So The Red has all of their upbeat, fun, pop-y, energetic songs. Their second album The Velvet is where you're going to find their soft ballads, r&b, vocals, emotional songs. Check that one out too if you have the time 😊

Now you’re diving into Red Velvet B sides, you get to see how vocally talented they are and how every song is a bop and can’t go wrong. Classic SM Bside as you said. I have a soft spot for Day 1, I saw them live back in 2019 and it was the finale of the concert, always get me in tears. Oh Boy, Campfire & Time Slip are my favs as well from this album. Most of these songs are actually performed in their first concert, Red Room
