As I thought EYES WIDE OPEN is the best full album but NAHHH!!! TWICE will always exceed your expectations either for music video, albums,japanese release and performances . I think that was one of Jihyo's spoilers/puns because I read that it was before the album came out, but I also saw somewhere there's the word 'six' in the korean word for 'cactus', so it could've been seen as a pun for their sixth anniversary. Just more of Jihyo's 4D chess moves on Onces.

As a ‘70s music lover, I was spoiled when Twice dropped this funky, disco-filled album on the exact same day as Kylie Minogue’s “Disco (Guest List Edition)” and Bruno Mars/Anderson Paak’s “An Evening with Silk Sonic.” (And ABBA’s return just the week prior!!) Gosh, the production on Formula of Love is just unbelievably top-tier. Hats off to to that whole team. The only thing I could’ve asked more for would be real horns and strings on the disco tracks, but I even then, I feel like some of the modern effects work (like on the vocals on Cruel) were very deliberate artistic choices that worked cohesively on their respective tracks, and which I also enjoyed on their own merits. Also, I didn’t expect to hear Sana explore so many different facets as a vocalist, and, of course, just charm me with each turn.

The first time I listened to the album I couldn't even form a sentence bc of how good it is. I'm still not done processing this whole album lol. I can't even pick a favorite. The entire album is perfect for a roller skate playlist. Disco, island, 90's pop and rnb...and almost all of them are rapping too!! Also "Moonlight" made me wanna do a conga line, for crying out loud. lol. Jihyo literally made a rock/gospel song for her dead cactus. WHO ELSE DOES IT LIKE HER??? Though Eyes Wide Open is still one of my favorite twice full albums (has a Heize written song), Formula of Love really does get its run for its money. Subunits are my favorites along with Cactus and Last Waltz, I tend to like slower songs, more my taste. Espresso and Icon are bangers. Definitely an album I listen to I repeat

This is definitely one of my favorite all-time albums for how good it is. There's so many bits to like about this album. Twice credits. Gotta love how much the girls get to contribute to the albums. * Cruel - Lyrics by Dahyun * F.I.L.A. (Fall in Love Again) - Lyrics by Nayeon * Real You - Lyrics by Jihyo * Cactus - Lyrics by Jihyo, Composition credit for Jihyo * The Feels (Korean Ver.) - Lyrics credit for Chaeyoung The subunits! It got to expose even more versatility for the members. One thing that a lot of listeners took away from is that just about every member got a bit of a rapping/flow segment if you listen carefully. (It's even more obvious when you watch the colored lyrics videos so you can see who it is at the time.) And while Hello is probably one of the more contentious tracks on the album in the fandom, you have to give props for Nayeon and Momo stepping up into a performance role they usually aren't in. The story about Cactus: On the surface it sounds like a really heartstring-pulling ballad - until you find out it's literally about a cactus that Jihyo had that died. She wrote it from the perspective of the cactus being ignored as Jihyo walked in and out of the room. During promotions, Nayeon said that she sang it full of emotion because she didn't realize it was about Jihyo's cactus, so the members had a laugh about it. Even more amusing is that they filmed two episodes of TwiceTV where Jeongyeon, Sana, and Jihyo were potting plants including that cactus (named Ang), which Jeongyeon helped to name. One thing they've leaked is that the subunits pieces will get performed in the concert. Not to mention they probably have a bunch of those other B-side bangers choreographed just for the concert. Onces will be screaming! Anyway, what a fantastic album. If you listen through it again, I recommend having the lyrics to get more out of it for the Korean lyric songs. Thanks for having us along!

I've been looking forward to this! When I first listened to the album, I'm not lying when I say I teared up because it made me so happy with how good it was. I thought then it might be my favorite album I've heard, and nothing has changed that opinion for me.
