2022-11-09 20:07:53 +0000 UTCGreat reaction. Priya starts off good for Leonard but I don't think I could ever be friends with someone or date someone if they gave me an ultimatum like that. Despite their history and his lingering feelings for Penny, Penny is a sweet girl and she's shown this a number of times (I really like when she was protective of the guys from their upstairs neighbor) I could never be with someone who told me that to remain in a relationship with them I had to discard others because it's a bad sign of what might happen in the future. What else would they want me to do for them? What else would they want me to give up? That is the toxic relationship (unless they are actually doing it for your own safety or wellbeing such as keeping you away from a repeated abuser and then tell them you'd be there for them once they were out of the relationship but you couldn't watch them allowing themselves to be hurt.) Anyway, that's my little rant about that. I'll look forward to your next BBT reaction and of course Beauty and the Beast (my favorite Disney movie and in my top five movies of all time :))

That first episode where Leonard and Pria were doing a bit from The Taming of the Shrew brought back bittersweet memories; back in high school, I did that *exact* scene with a good friend of mine, Thom. Two years later, Thom was gone, sadly took his own life at 17. We never saw it coming, no warning signs at all. The memories of being in drama class with him are some of my fondest, that and his hugs. He had the greatest hugs. Sorry, I don't mean to be a downer. That episode just brought up a lot of emotion. But between your reactions and the show itself, it all helps. :) No matter what, this show makes me laugh, and watching with you and seeing through your eyes makes it better. Your crackup during the second episode got me cry-laughing. Poor Sheldon; he was in hell when they started the karaoke. Though speaking of Jim Parsons, you should check out the reboot of The Boys in the Band (2020); he's in it!
