Jurassic World Dominion Full Reaction!

Comments

Gigantosarurus is not a hybrid it's a real life dinosaur used to live on earth and the design of it is not real it's more little Buffy face and doesn't have spikes on its back.

I loved that dilo callback! The fact that they both dropped the same Barbasol can that started it all before they got eaten… I just loved that detail. And the ending scene with the dinosaurs coexisting with modern animals gave me chills. I would’ve loved to see Archeopteryx. They’re one my fav type of dinosaurs.

I was very surprised how much I enjoyed Dominion, given my lukewarm feelings towards Jurassic World and Fallen Kingdom, the latter of which I *still* haven't finished despite two attempts to watch it. I went in to Dominion with low expectations and found myself charmed by what was essentially an interesting story, far less ridiculous "hybrids," and absolutely stunning cinematic work on the prehistoric creatures. A few eyerolls, of course, and not much in the way of blood & terror, but I loved how it wove everything and everyone together, coming full circle on so many things, and gave Dr. Wu a redemption arc. Though Dr. Wu may not have deserved redemption, I adore the actor B.D. Wong, so I was happy to see it. I truly appreciated the poetic touch of killing off Dodgson with the *same* species that killed Dennis Nedry in the original Jurassic Park. One criticism: I wanted to see a lot more of the mosasaur! They could do a whole ocean-based film centered around that creature, and throw in some liopleurodon, which rarely gets to see screen time unless you count a brief appearance in, I think, the Primeval tv series.

They brought a lot of things around full circle, including killing him off the same way as Dennis Nedry, the same dinosaur species. Though one thing they didn't make clear in the movie Jurassic Park (it was apparent in the book) is that Dennis Nedry wasn't actually Hammond's son. When Dennis said, "Okay, *dad*," he was being sarcastic because he felt that Hammond was treating him like a child, not literally meaning he was talking to his actual father. Just wasn't very clear in the movie, confused a lot of people.

I didn't relise until the end that the main villain is the same guy that convinced Hammond's son in the first movie to steal the genomes and turn off the power and security.
