The first seal that is shown is a leopard seal, absolute badass predator. The reason the young penguins weren’t jumping into the water is realistic because there could be a killer whale, leopard seal, and other predators. Mumble is without a doubt the luckiest little penguin ever for having survived attacks from skuas, leopard seal, and orcas. The skuas, as shown when they are sitting on the cliffs around the penguins, tend to go for chicks so to see that many after the moms have come home is normal. Oh fun fact in a deleted scene they had Steve Irwin voice a seagull, I greatly wished it hadn’t been cut out. For while the ending, people being good, isnt realistic having someone as inspirational as Steve talking about animals is something that can get people to become better. The sequel is pretty good, Gloria is voiced by Pink who is a fabulous singer that did have a song in the first movie.

I think you missed something during the ending. The Kids that Glorida and that other penguin was with was a singing class. She said she never heard the right song. So she didn't get with anyone during that peroid Mumble was away

Gloria is not with that guy in the end she's a teacher of singing so in the end Gloria and mumble are together.

This movie is so much fun! I remember how infectious the dancing was when I first saw it. Watching it again really brought me back. I also recommend the 2nd movie which in my opinion is just as fun to watch.

Ah, I remember the first time I saw this. I fell asleep just after he started chasing the ship, so I thought that was the end of the movie for years. Also, Gloria wasn't married to that guy, you were kinda talking over it, but they were schoolteachers. There's also a Happy Feet 2 if you're interested. It's not quite as well done, but still pretty good

Also when Mumble becomes an adult, by the end of the movie, his appearance does change. But not in the way you think. He looks like he's wearing a swallow tail tuxedo (his tail was split down the middle by the leopard seal), the tips of his fins/wings are striped like he's wearing cuffs, if you look at his ankles, he has the little dots like performers wear on their boots, and under his chin and chest area, it looks like he's wearing a bow as a patch of fluff is missing.

I remember when this came out and I begged my parents to rent me this movie. I guess they didn’t know which one I was talking about and they actually bought a penguin documentary for me instead of this movie.

I think you missed it but Gloria and Seymour didn't get together, those kids were their singing class. Also the reason Mumble didn't look like the others is because he was dropped as an egg. As a result his development is slower, given enough time he probably will look like other emperor penguins. The 2nd one is also pretty good.

I'm not gonna lie, I feel like the happy feet I mainly remember is the first half of this movie, and mainly the second movie LOL. I think maybeee the songs were better in the second or something? I kept expecting a certain scene to come up but it never did, so I have to assume it's in the second one lol

I love how those penguins sang the song I'll Make Love To You which is not for kids considering the intended audience
