Have you ever seen the show Prehistoric Park? It kinda of has extinction moments, it various with each species such as the Sabre tooth cat to t-rex.

2022-06-13 02:13:05 +0000 UTCThis movie holds a nostalgic and favorite part of my heart. The soundtrack to the visuals are stunning! I got to admit the beginning is similar to Moses’s in Prince of Egypt both have to go through a musical number just to get to their final destination. Yes, they are raptors, the little guys, but I am uncertain which species of raptor they are they might be the Velociraptor in their true size. Some fun actor/actresses bits. There were two Touched by the Angel actors- Eema and Yar, then there is Baylene is voiced by Joan Plowright famous for 101 Dalmatians as Nanny and Martha in Dennis the Menace, and Siri-the little lemur- was voiced by Hayden Panettiere (Ice Princess/Heroes/Bring it On). Oh speaking of lemurs- the island lemurs are Verreaux’s sifaka and the ones at the end are Coquerel’s sifaka. I grew up with the tv show Zoboomafoo which had a lemur, Zoboo, a Coquerel’s sifaka. Also lemurs are not as evolved as other primates, so who ever thought calling them monkeys throughout this film was evolving them several jumps ahead (yes yes mammals with dinos in the first place is very very jumping the evolution train, but lemur’s brains are smaller and less developed than a monkeys). Can’t wait to see your other movie reactions!

2022-06-13 02:11:35 +0000 UTCAnother movie I haven't seen in years. I had this way back on VHS, and when we sold all our VHS tapes, it just sort of faded away. It's good to see it again, warts and all (I've loved prehistoric creatures ever since I saw the BBC series Walking With Dinosaurs) and good to see that you enjoyed it too.

2022-06-12 00:51:37 +0000 UTCJust to answer of your questions, Alador's an Iguanodon, the dino calf with the crest on his head was a Parasaurolophus, the Carnotaur's full name is Carnotaurus, the animal that snatched Alador's egg from the nest was a butt naked Oviraptor, the animal that flew of with it was a Pteranodon (a type of pterosaur, not a dinosaur), and the smaller predators that were hunting them in the desert where bald velociraptors. Fun fact btw, many of these animals didn't live in the same place at the same time.
