2021-12-14 01:19:13 +0000 UTCHey I know this was two weeks ago but you have it backwards lol. The spirit portals cannot be closed during harmonic convergence because that’s when they are connected. That’s why Korra was trying to close the portal before Harmonic Convergence could take place

2021-12-13 17:06:54 +0000 UTCThe only problem with your idea to keep the spirit portal open and just close it if things don’t work out is that it can only be closed during Harmonic Convergence, as Rava had told the first Avatar in that origin story episode… although, maybe a celestial event like an eclipse would be good enough? They didn’t really make that clear. I forgot what Korra’s uncle used to open the Southern Tribe’s portal.
