One false note slips out of the piano. It could be that David wanted to play the E chord with flat 9th just once ;) Time 1:41, original track 2:14
VERSE : Sixteenth note rhythm pattern. Don’t play straight 16th notes. Add a little swing feel and you fit better to the drum groove.
CHORUS : On the original recording it sounds like Luke is playing the single note riff by using downstrokes only (chords are upstrokes)
On newer live versions you can see Luke playing the riff by using alternative picking. I played first two choruses with downstrokes and the last one with alternative picking…you can choose the way that fits best for you.
SOLO BARS 77-80 I played slightly different than the transcription says. Follow the tabs if you want to do it like Luke ;)
Outro : I doubled the piano riff with guitar. No, it’s not on the recording…that was just for fun ;)
