Sponsorships on YouTube will NOT Overlap

Hey Laowinners!

I have just been accepted into YouTube's sponsorship program, but will not be announcing it publicly at this time.

Basically, YouTube is giving big channels (+100,000 subs) a chance to get extra income through sponsoring the channel, where subscribers get access to emojis, a community platform, and badges etc.

First of all, everyone on this platform (Patreon) has been with us thick and thin, so I wouldn't change a thing. So I decided this. Sponsors on YouTube WILL NOT get Patreon content. I will basically treat it as my daily blog talking about what is happening in China, media, with us etc. In turn, I will post the daily blog here as well, as a big thanks to everyone out there on this platform that has supported us.

I do think it is cool that people will be able to support their favorite YouTubers when ads go down etc, and of course I am happy to add a new revenue source, but I just wanted to let you know that you DON'T have to be a sponsor on YouTube to get exactly the same, plus more content here.
I will not personally answer questions, nor will I post early content for the sponsors, that is all for Patreons.

Most of all, a huge thank you for everyone out there who has stuck with us, and especially at this time (NEW BABY COMING!!!) we super appreciate each and every one of you.

I will always choose Patreon, as they have been good to me in the past. I will be posting everything and more here, and only the daily blog there (which is posted here first)

Now that I've seen a video with a sponsor button, and clicked on it, I have a better idea of how it works. Would be interested to know how it compares with Patreon from your perspective. For instance say someone is giving you $5.99 on both channels, how much do you actually receive? Personally I don't care what platform I support you on, and am inclined to pick the one that takes the smallest cut. I like the apparent simplicity of YT's implementation. I dislike the lack of ability to chose how much to give. If I was a creator I think I would like having a revenue stream outside of YT, so that would be a pro for Patreon. Will be interested to see your take on it in a few months time.

Youtube is an evil giant they shut down my account because unknown people singing in the background during events I did not think mattered if there was a mocking bird they would say copyright infringement.
